Just a block from the river and a block from downtown Pitlochry (and right across from the distillery), this is a great location. Norbert was an excellent host and took great care of us. A stately manor home, we feel like we stepped back in time. One note, our twin beds were a bit "sway back." Excellent breakfast.

Having stayed at this guest house over the weekend I would most definitely recommend it! Beautifully situated country house, excellent service and attention to detail. Owner and staff very welcoming and obliging and the breakfast was excellent... Great for a weekend or longer stay and would enjoy staying again in the future.

Room Tip: We had room 1 with an en-suite and view over the garden, very comfortable.

This is a lovely old country house, family run and german speaking for our friends ( from Dusseldorf) The rooms were big, with antique furniture, ensuite bathroom, tea making facilities and we didn't mind not having a tv at all, although you could watch it in the huge visitors lounge. The breakfast was amazing (silver service) and the little anecdotes from the host were very interesting. He gave us great tips on how to clean brass, glass mirrors, furniture etc.
All in all a place we will never forget and wished we could have stayed longer.

this was the first hotel we stayed in and the rooms were good clean and the staff were very friendly but on a more anoying note there was no tv in the room I don't know if this is becouse of the location of the hotel, i had a sore back though as the bed had a hollow in the middle but the beds were comfy and the location was nice and quiet, pitlochry is just off the A9 and don't god in to the town becouse after 9pm there is nothing open not even for fish and chips.

We stumbled upon the fasganeoin house by chance whilst visiting Pitlochry. The house stands in a very quaint and beautiful garden and the house itself takes you back in time. Our room was clean and very nicely furnished with ensuite and tea making facilities. We were made to feel very welcome with advice on where to visit and a very hearty breakfast in the morning. This is a great gem.

I've stayed here several times for the local road bike event in May. The proprietors are extremely hospitable and friendly. They accommodate the demands of the cyclists with early, bike specific breakfast fare all with good cheer and good organisation.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious and those that are ensuite have good bathroom facilities.

The house and rooms are full of interest - architectural and furnishings. Don't come looking for chic designer makeover; instead come to stay with local owners who really are interested in their guests needs; know everything there is to know about the area and are willing to help ensure their guests enjoy a stay in a wondferful area for biking, walking, fishing, golfing, theatre going or just relaxing.
