Uncertain of our choice of hotel in Pitlochry, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly welcome given. Our room was fresh, clean and very comfortable with beautiful views over Pitlochry and its surrounding hills (room 4). Breakfast should suit everyone with a good selection of cereals and hot food available. All staff were very polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in an ideal location for a visit to the Festival Theatre where there are super quality productions. All in all we had a most enjoyable break at Rosemount Hotel and would be happy to return again.

Premier room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of storage space. We were at the back of the hotel with beautiful views looking down the Valley. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit, weather forecasts and even offered to store our perishable purchases in their fridge overnight. Oscar the dog was a real sweetheart.

The hotel is clean, rooms spotless and staff were very good can't find any fault at all.The breakfast is help yourself which my husband loved. The hotel was full when we were there and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
If you fancy fish and chips walk down to the town and turn right and walk up the street a bit its right across from the xmas shop the fish and chip shop you can sit in, the fish and chips are the best i have ever had.

Booked this hotel via Expedia and got it for £69 per night. As seems to be the case with hotels in Pitlochry, the headline rates are on the high side for the location - I wonder how many people actually pay them.

Overall, a nice independent with great staff - Joan at the desk was fantastic, gave us a great welcome and explained everything without asking. Some may find the room decor dated but I'm not fussy - it isn't your slick modern chain hotel by any means but can't fault cleanliness, or the facilities. My room had a door spring which was way too strong and embarrassingly banged shut in the middle of the night. Adequate parking, but note that the hotel is buried in a housing estate about 5-10 mins walk from the town centre. But it's quiet in the evenings...although we got woken up by the binmen banging and clattering at 8 in the morning on our stay!

Didn't use the restuarant apart from the buffet breakfast in the morning which was OK - for the dinner service they have a very "play it by ear" approach depending on occupancy rate. Some people will be put off that there is no formal lunch or mid-afternoon bar menu although they will do something for you if you ask on check-in.

Overall a nice little hotel and will come again.

Staff were limited, served meals when the were suited. over looks a car park on a housing estate, not a view as described, dining room needs updating. to be honest i felt like i was putting them out yet paid over £700 for my stay,,,, Their loss.
However Pitlochry is a fantastic place good pubs and fantastic scenery.

I did read a few of the other reviews and quite frankly, they must have stayed somewhere else!
We had a perfect stay, great welcome and service from the staff, Pitlochry was busy with the forest lights, but the day time colours were fantasic.
Our thanks to Anne and the staff at Rosemount for a wonderful stay.

We were staying here overnight when visiting the Enchanted Forest attraction in Faskally Woods. We waited too long for assistance at the desk but to be fair, I think the receptionist was attending to other duties in the hotel. However, when he appeared he should have attended to us straight away instead of putting stuff away in the back first. I am making a big deal about this because there are mixed reviews for this hotel and given that the reviews are improving, the hotel needs to continue this trend. It was amazing because once he put his stuff away, his whole demeanour changed, as if he suddenly went into reception mode and he couldn't have been nicer!
Junior suite is lovely, with nice view. Was surprised that the sofa wasn't a sofa bed as it meant a fold down for 3rd person. Would be lovely rooms for 2 people. I notice some of poor reviews seem to relate to older style rooms so my advice would be to book a renovated room or the suite.
Hotel in good location for people with no mobilty problems, down a hill to main street.
Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. We went early at 8 30, just in case, after reading some other reviews. Lovely dining room and efficient waiter.
At check out, we chatted to the owner who couldn't have been friendlier.
