Roesmont hotel is quite nice. We had a lovely room except the walls very thin and you can hear the water tank refilling all night.stayed in much nicer and quite hotels for less money.next time I would pick a small bed and breakfast to stay in. Lots to choose from

Room Tip: Go to a bed and breakfast ,lots of lovely ones to choose from

Many thanks for your review. We are aware of the room you stayed in and actually lived in it for a long while, whilst our house move was delayed. There is a faint sound from the water tank , though I want to state categorically that the walls are sound-proofed to a greater extent than a domestic abode, so it will not be as loud as in someone's own home - certainly not ours, which is a fairly new-build. I hope readers will evaluate your resultant score of one in relation to this. Forgive me, but it seemed more than a little unreasonable.

Recently stayed at Rosemount while attending a family wedding in Pitlochry. My fiance and I stayed in a downstairs room while my sister and partner elected for upstairs. Our room was absoultely fine for what we needed as we were only looking for somewhere to change and sleep. It was clean, bed was comfy and had all the usual amenities. Did feel a bit jealous though on seeing the upstairs room as this had been renovated and looked lovely with more space and for the girls much more room for make-up etc as it had desk and mirror so if you have a choice go for upstairs shower only room.
Breakfast was very good with a large choice of both cooked and continental so that was really good.
Staff on check in were very friendly and let us into the room and hour early so that was a bonus.
It's only a five minute walk into town and some of the views from the garden are cracking.
Did find while looking that the accomodation in Pitlochry is more expensive than you'd expect for a B&B but Rosemount was one of the cheaper and we had a very pleasant stay so all in all very happy.

Room Tip: go for upsatirs shower only room as these have been renovated.

Thank you very much for taking the time to send this detailed review which will be very helpful to those readers in search of some unbiased facts about a prospective place to stay in Pitlochry. Due to the manipulative nature of online reviewing, such well-written, clear detail is invaluable to everyone concerned and improves the standing of the online reviewing process. There is simply too much abuse getting through the net.

It means everything to us that you enjoyed yourself and had a positive experience of Pitlochry. It's a great place for a break away from the hurly burly of hectic life. We're delighted you chose us and please come again. Be sure to ask for a Regular or better room for a mark up on comfort and amenity. Please check, also for the availability of a free upgrade, especially midweek.

Our Economy rooms are perfect if cost is the main consideration. In these hard times, the £10 - £70 a night saving they offer against other rooms (including the rest of ours) is highly valued by hundreds of guests. They are clean, well-equipped and well-serviced. Some even have nice views. The other facilities of the Hotel are still fully available, even though the room rate is often below that of neighbouring B&Bs. It knocks our review average a bit because we have them, and to tackle this damage, we will be decreasing their number. We shall, however, hold on to a few. We genuinely believe they are, in the main, very well regarded and highly valued for the saving that could pay, for example, for a meal in a restaurant or an extra activity for the kids.

We hope the winter is kind to you and that we see you again soon

Was staying 1 night.....hotel reception was bit dated but fine. Our room was up one of the many corridors. Room was bit dated but toilet/shower room was obviously recently fitted and very nice although water pressure in shower was absolutely terrible at night and in morning. Buffet breakfast was lovely and all hot and fresh. 1 massive minus for us is that we asked for 3 cans of Irn Bru with breakfast and it duly came, however we were charged £4.80 which i don't really have a problem with, but the cans were 'price marked 49p' which i thought was ridiculous

Booked this last minute paid 84.00 b&b always look at the pictures and trip advisor all hotels I stay in. Trusted trip advisor but this time it was not as goog as it would seem.
One bad review seemed to be disputed by the hotel so thought give hotel a chance.
Honest review bed and bedding great of 4 to 5 star quality.
Bedroom very dated with a mish mash of eras.
Bathroom very dated scabby paid for separate shower but it was just a bath attachment .
We looked at other room with standing shower but room was worse.
Pictures on there web site are accurate for public areas.
Bedroom looks nice but in reality not great.
Staff were lovely Mirabelle on reception was lovely .
Breakfast for a small hotel was good.
A ten minute walk into centr of Pitlochry .

I have just checked out of the Rosemount and I felt I had to put down what a great wee hotel it is.I travelled on my own with my dog and on my arrival I was given an upgrade to a bigger room. The room was very clean and suited my needs perfectly. The staff were all lovely and I received a nice welcome when checking in.I will definitely go back and stay as I loved pitlochry.

We were very impressed with the hotel on arrival, very clean and the staff were welcoming. There was a lovely smell of cinnamon as we walked in.

Our room was cosy and very clean the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was immaculate.

Sadly we were unable to stay as our baby needed to be taken to hospital, the staff were very helpful we were unable to return to the hotel in time for checkout to collect our belongings from the room, the staff were more concerned about jacks well being and told us not to worry about when we got back.

They packed all our belongings for us with our permission and when we returned late the next evening there was no rooms for us to get ready for a wedding so they went out of their way to help us get a shower and allowed us to get ready in the lounge telling us there was no rush or extra charge.

We will defiantly stay here again when we return and hope to try the food menu as it sounded lovely and the restaurant looked lovely and clean. such friendly staff.

Your beautiful, happy boy, Jack, had a huge impact on everyone of us and the news that he was fine was all we wanted to hear. The rest was no trouble in any way. We were sorry that you had to go through so much of a production getting him back to the hotel from the hospital, having to catch numerous buses. You must have been exhausted, but the relief must have been so great, I don't suppose you noticed at the time. You are both amazing parents and a lesson in dedication to family. Jack is a lucky boy to be so well loved. We wish you every happiness in the exciting years ahead.

We stayed two nights in one of the new rooms. It was spacious, clean and modern with a separate lounge area. Breakfast was perfect. We ate in one night and the food was good.

The thing that stands out is the personal service with everyone there really friendly. We asked to have breakfast in the bar as we had a dog. The second morning the table was already set for us before we even asked.

Harley the Labrador enjoyed it too, especially a nice relaxing snooze in the bar after a long day of walks.

Hi there.
It's highly rewarding for us to work hard then see our guests have a really good time. What is even better, is when some take effort to publish that fact. Thank you for doing that. We genuinely love having dog-families to stay. Dogs have this way of finding everyone's happy button. We observe guests that don't know each other, but are sharing the same space. Invariably, when there is a dog in the mix, everyone is talking to each other in no time, because many folk find it easier to talk to, or about the dog first, then conversation follows on naturally. Please come again soon
