My family have long been great fans of this hotel, but I have never stayed there before. Well, I certainly have been missing out! My elderly Mum and myself decided to go to Pitlochry theatre for La Traviata during a two-night stay at the Green Park. What a treat.
The rooms are lovely and, thoughtfully, my Mum was given a room really convenient for the lounges, dining room and reception. Couldn't fault the accommodation in any way - nice toiletries, well-stocked hospitality tray, quality towels and spotless bathrooms.
Extra touches like the inclusive morning coffee, afternoon tea and pre-dinner sherry, as well as selection of daily newspapers and books on offer make guests feel very welcome - but I was too stupid to add to the difficult jigsaw on display for the guests to complete! Others were making a better stab at it. The 'hands on' owners even managed to supply good weather for us (and an annual sale at nearby House of Bruar), not forgetting a convenient minibus to take us to the theatre. I found the meals first-class and, when I learned well-behaved dogs are welcome, I can't wait to return en famille.More
