“PO Cottage - old but clean”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014 via mobile

We were 'upgraded' from lodge to the cottage. While it comes with it's own private lawn and three bedrooms making it more spacious it was dated and kinda took away the lodge break we wanted. Anyway our main purpose for staying was for something else so we weren't too bothered.

The cottage served a purpose tho quite dark and dated. Could do with a new bathroom and kitchen - both of these points were made by the check in host so it is acknowledged by the owners.

It suited up to 5- 6 at a push. Only enough plates / utensils for 6. Free wifi is appreciated.

The house could be a whole lot more with renovation. Maybe that's on their plans.

We booked a 2 bed lodge for 4 adults. We had an extra adult join us at the last minute so we phoned ahead to ask for a guest bed to be added to our lodge. On arrival John had upgraded us to the 3 bed old post house cottage. John and Esther are very welcoming and helpful. The lodges all look very spacious so I'm sure we would have had lots of room even if the post house wasn't available. The laundry facility is very convenient and cheap, at only £1 a cycle and free detergent. The site has a peaceful location on the river bank, with lots of rabbits wandering around, a bat or two at night and some birds of prey too. The road is nearby and can be busy but I didn't find it distracting and it is very quiet at night. I would thoroughly recommend logierait lodges and I look forward to staying there again in the future.

Had another lovely stay at Logierait last week for 4 days and the sun was shining which made it even more special. We stayed in a 1 bed terraced lodge and as usual it was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.

We were able to use the balcony throughout the day and into the evening with not a midgie in sight which was a bonus!

Staff very friendly and welcoming, surroundings well maintained and views are just beautiful. Would recommend visiting Black Spout Wood on a sunny day, it was beautiful and only a 10 minute drive from the lodge.

Can't wait to go back :)

Room Tip: Only stayed in the 1 bed terraced lodges but they are lovely, spacious and very clean.

Delighted with accomadation and site, Great base for the area. The one bedroom lodges are smart and fitted to a high spec our daughter used the additional Z bed, more than we expected. We will definately be back. It is close to a river but a very nice location.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Logierait and was delighted with the accommodation. We arrived to a nice welcome from staff waiting for us to check in and we were then taken to our lodge. We stayed in the one bedroom lodges which we found really comfortable with some nice little touches. They were clean and modern and only a short walk to the Logierait Inn where we had a lovely meal on the Saturday. We were made aware of a new restaurant that had only just opened and made the 10-15 minute walk to the Red Brolly and had a very nice meal on the Friday of our arrival. Throughout the weekend we were close to the local attractions at Pitlochry, Aberfeldy and Dunkeld so an excellent base to reach other localities. Would recommend the lodges to anyone looking to stay in the area. Only fault I can think of was the squeaky floor in the bathroom but that aside a perfect weekend.

We had a wonderful time here in April in fact so good we are booked for another week in July.Lodges are great with everything you need and a few things provided to start you off, very nice touch.Lovely location very peaceful and when the sun is shining can't think of a better place to be.Very convenient for visiting nearby towns and not far to Perth. We loved sitting on the verandah watching all the wildlife and especially the ducks who came for breakfast every morning.A fantastic place which I can't recommend enough

The only complaint I have is I have to leave! The chalet has everything you need and the staff were great. Very clean and peaceful it was everything we were looking for. Fantastic value for money and all round a great place to stay. Also I would recommend the logierait inN for dining out. Fantastic service and food. See you soon
