What an amazing place to stay and chill out. The food is also exceptional. We ate dinner every night of our three night stay. Staff were all very friendly.

This small house hotel had great service throughout with friendly helpful staff. Food was very good with nightly changed dinner menus. Breakfast was 'fully served - no central table to walk around at any stage. Just wish they used proper oat meal rather than the 'processed' oat flakes for the porridge !!!

Room Tip: We did not view any rooms other than our own - but ours was 1st class and lacked only a fridge..

Dear 'adnamara1', Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are delighted that you enjoyed the service, food and room during your stay with us. We use rolled oats for our porridge and occasionally make it with pinhead oatmeal - we are always happy to accommodate any special requests!

My husband and I have just returned from a 2night break at this lovely small hotel. We were made very welcome by the friendly, helpful staff and the same welcome was extended to our Bearded Collie dog who was reluctant to leave! The bedroom was warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the cosy lounge with it's soft sofas and log fire was the perfect place to relax after dinner.Breakfast and dinner were both excellent and served very efficiently with a smile. We would not hesitate to return.

This is not a new trendy hotel. This is an old house on a hill and all the more perfect for it. The staff are friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The decor is classic and the bedroom was outstanding. The bed, dinner and breakfast package was worth it as the food was delicious and set in an intimate setting with only eight or so tables.

Whilst I was travelling alone, this hotel is perfect for couples. The staff did give me a significant discount for single occupancy even though I was expecting and willing to pay full price. They also provided excellent advice about where to go and what to do.

This an excellent base for exploring central Scotland, including the distilleries, the Cairngorms, House of Bruar, Blair Castle and the like.

The words stately and refined spring to mind. Treat yourselves!

Dear 'Tvilletraveller', We are glad you enjoyed the decor and style of the hotel - we use up-to-date fabrics, paint and design but in a classic way befitting the Victorian architecture of the hotel. Pitlochry is a great base to explore many attractions. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for 'treating yourself'!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in September 2011. We were using Pitlochry as a base to visit the local distilleries, sites and Cairngorm National Park. The room we stayed in was a good size and very clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and they provided us with numerous suggestions of things to see and do in the area. The meals were excellent and the serving size for both breakfast and dinner were generous.

We stayed here for one night as a treat for my husband's birthday and it was the perfect place for a relaxing stay. The service was superb and we were made to feel very welcome. The dinner was amazing, some of the best food we have had in a long time. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely four poster bed and a comfortable sofa. I had arranged for champagne in our room on arrival and it was there on ice when we got there. I wish we had been able to stay a bit longer but my husband had a great time on his birthday and we would definitely consider coming back.
