“Great couple of days”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2012

Lovely hotel , beautiful balcony room to relax and take in the stunning views.
Food was excellent but one gripe ... at £200 a night I feel it's a bit mean to charge £4.95 supplement for a drop of sauce with the steak !

Room Tip: Go for rooms 9 or 10 for a balcony with stunning views

Dear 'Anonyy', I'm so glad you found the views from the balcony stunning and the food excellent. I hope the surprise flowers and chocolates went down well! The supplement is for the Aberdeen Angus Beef (not the sauce) which we offer on occasion as an extra choice for our guests.
It would be lovely to see you again.
Best wishes, Liz and the Knockendarroch Team

We booked a last minute weekend stay to escape from the city after a hectic week. From start to finish our stay was bliss - very relaxing, in beautiful surroundings with incredibly nice, helpful staff. The room was lovely, very prettily decorated in pale green and white. Everything was absolutely spotless. The food was consistently delicious and waiting staff couldn't be kinder. A lovely touch was a cream tea taken outside in the sunshine (I know, hard to believe after our monsoon summer!)We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and will be back.

Lovely little 12-bedroom hotel in the heart of Pitlochry. Very stylish bedrooms, lovely comfortable lounge. Delicious menu changed daily - nice variety of dishes, good sized portions and well presented. The service and the staff couldn't be faulted - I would have no hesitation in returning and also delighted to recommend the hotel to others.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the bedrooms (Rooms 10, 11 and 12) on the top floor as they have fab views over the t...

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now and will definatly be going back, the hotel is beautiful, well looked after and the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable and done to a very high standard.
The staff and owners are wonderful and can not be faulted in any way, any questions they are there to help and know the area very well which is helpful when thinking of things to do. The hotel is very central in pitlochry and the town is just a few mins walk away. (The house of bruar is a must to visit to do a bit of shopping, and have some amazing cake!!!!)
Breakfast was beautiful and the evening meal even better, couldnt have asked for more.
would reccomend this hotel to anyone, cant wait to go back!

Dear 'ddlkm', It was lovely to see you both again and we certainly hope to see you back at the Knockendarroch. It gives us pleasure to help our guests get the most out of their time in Pitlochry and the surrounding area - and, of course, most of our guests make it to the House of Bruar. Glad you enjoyed the food!
Best wishes, Liz and Team

Went on a recommendation from a friend - glad we took it. Great setting, beautiful building, immaculately clean. Our room was peaceful and tastefully decorated. Every member of staff was friendly but the reception staff were outstanding. The food was gorgeous, reasonably priced and our night was made when our dessert plates were inscribed with chocolate to wish us a happy anniversary - what a lovely touch. Very relaxing and we'll back as soon as we can.

What a fantastic welcome and informative and friendly staff ( though no sight of any owners ).

Breakfast fantastic. Dinner good.

However, our room was directly above the kitchen and we were awoken at 6ish with deliveries.........not what you want on holiday. So, although the room was perfectly acceptable for a rate over over 130 pounds for b & b, the noise was not at all acceptable and I suggest the owners make a different use for this particular room or charge a much lower rate for that room,

Dear 'GeoDevon', Thank you for your review. I am a little puzzled as we never have deliveries that early. It is a pitty you didn't mention it on departure as we could have reassured you that it was not connected to the hotel. Infact, room 7 is a very popular room due to its separate sitting area and attracts a lot of repeat guests. I am glad you found the team friendly and welcoming, but as you were only with us for one night sadly I did not get to meet you personally.
Best wishes, Liz and the Team.
