Me and my partner and our two girl stay there for two night the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly the family room was clean and spacious. when we went for dinner the waiter/waitress were all very friendly and helpful the six course taste menu was excellent our children got to choose chicken/fish/sausages/pizza what was all very nice my partner on the second night had a fillet steak it was over a inch thick and the chef prepared it just the way he asked he really enjoyed it, the breakfast was excellent as well kids enjoyed it.
The kids just loved the pool I on the other hand enjoyed the sauna, jacuzzi and steam when I got peace lol. The holt it's self is in a great setting your just a short walk to the town centre or jump in the car and there's lots to do in a 15 mile radius. We all really enJoyed our break can't wait to go back. Thanks

Spent a few days in the area, booking into the hotel due to swimming pool and spa being on site. Checking in was swift and information given on hotel such as breakfast times, pool and spa times etc. when trying to book treatments there no spaces left. Pool is fairly small, however looked nice.
We were given 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor. We had a baby with us therefore a pushchair and toys etc. We used the lift which was some what a tired looking old thing which had been carpeted from floor to roof. To open a switch which looked like a cooker switch had to be used. A little bit scary, once in the lift and going up the floors, bits of hard board were placed between door and exiting to the floors required. Not very nice. The rooms were ok, but small. Not much space to move around. The bed was very hard, I did not seep through night. Radiator thermostat was broken. The bathroom were tired and looked dated. A good lick of paint and tiles may have enhanced bathrooms. I did not use shower as looked dirty and slightly mouldy on the shower tray. Nice toiletries tho Arran soap etc. the lounges area looked dull and boring, very tired. There is a coffee area which had a door missing. Breakfast offered variety and service was fairly quick.
I would not use this hotel again, the pictures and deals it offers look great, however do not be taken in. I am positive there are better and cleaner looking hotels in Pitlochry for less money. My advice would be to view room prior to booking in. If requiring any spa treatments ensure that they actually carry out service.

Room Tip: Ask to view room and spa treatments prior to booking in.

We enjoyed a three night break in this hotel.
Reception staff were quite friendly.
Had a bit of a problem locking our room door, even after following the instructionson on how to do this! Lady from reception eventually had to come up as housekeeper not available, and she locked it very simply. However, the notice does not tell you to press in the little knob and turn at the same time - please add this to your instructions, it will save a lot of time and bother all round!
Room 244 is reached by the rather antiquated lift, which works perfectly well, but the corridors are rather tired looking. The room itself was clean and fresh, and facilities were very good therein.
We enjoyed the 6 course taster menus very much, but felt the potatoes and veg were a bit scrimpy even on a taster menu. Breakfasts were very good indeed. Waiters and waitresses worked very hard to provide an excellent service.
The lounge areas are comfortable, and a very friendly suited gentleman made us feel very welcome every time we met him.
Public areas seem to have been recently decorated, but the hotel is a bit tired and in need of some tlc.
We did not use the leisure facilities, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was tremendous value.

We were a group of five people on a Sunday special spa break including dinner, bed, breakfast and a 30 min treatment. The double room I stayed in with my wife was fairly standard with some nice features but no view and a little rough around the edges. The large room that the other three people shared was significantly better however. The food was fantastic however and was significantly better then expected on a deal break away, as was the half hour treatment the following day. As it was such good value for money this is the main reason for the five star review.

Room Tip: Ask to have a room with a view if possible

Just back from the comedy weekend package which we found to be great value. Room was lovely & large but have to admit the bathroom could do with a wee lick of paint / upgrade - a bit like the rest of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and attentive; especially Stan. Evening taster meal which was included in our package was tasty & plentiful. The entertainment was a bonus and exceeded our groups expectations. A really good affordable weekend break :-)
