After reading several bad reviews on this hotel, my sister and I arrived with little expectation, however we were pleasantly surprised. The staff had a very warm welcome for us, the room was clean with everything we needed, the food at dinner and breakfast was delicious with nothing too much bother. Leisure facilities were spotless with staff helpfull and friendly. We could not pass a member of staff from service to management without them greeting you with a smile or just a hello. The corridors are rather tired, but it adds to the charm of such an old building. There appeared to be some refurbishment on going so maybe next year, it will be perfect. The only criticism I would have is that the bar prices are rather high

We stayed at Scotland's Hotel for a weekend and wish we had been there longer. The service was second to none - the General Manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The facilities were fantastic, with a lovely pool, gym and therapy rooms (very good therapist gave me wonderful massages!) and, with a 4 month old baby, we found the hotel ideally suited to us especially as we could have dinner at 6pm and in such a lovely spacious dining room with a great view on to the mountains surrounding Pitlochry. We also ordered room service one evening, which came very promptly and served hot. The food was fantastic, especially the steak. The location of the hotel is perfect too, being in the town centre but up off the main road, which makes it nice and quiet. We would highly recommend Scotland's Hotel if you're planning a trip to Pitlochry!

We were a bit apprehensive having read mixed reviews about this hotel. But our rooms were very good, beds comfortable and room a good size. Sparkling clean and spacious bathroom which looked very new.. Only comment here is that my husband is slightly disabled and would find it easier to get in and out of bath for shower if a "grab rail" were fitted. We stayed for two nights bed and breakfast and found the breakfast very good. My daughter and son-in-law are vegetarian and found no problem having a hearty breakfast. We found staff very pleasant, particularly the maitre d' (or was he the Manager?) Situation of hotel excellent, just off the town's main street. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Pitlochry - but please Manager, look at grab rails over bath??!!

We had two nights at Scotland Hotel and were located in the bank house/annexe directly across from the hotel. The room we had was excellent.Very clean and comfortable.
We were on the wine & dine deal and I we can only say that all breakfasts and dinners were really very good. Staff were very friendly and attentive, even when they had a busy period we did not have to wait very long for service and food. Would definately stay here again.

I'm reviewing good and bad points for this hotel, I have stayed at many many hotels and price should not affect quality of all aspects of your stay including accommodation, location and staff. The rooms are basic, perfect for a crash pad for anyone doing lots of outdoor activites and just need a place to sleep. Decor is dated, needs a good spruce up. The spa is also simple best used for a paddle in the pool or a jog and thats about it. The steam room was out of order. My problem with my stay became apparent at breakfast, firstly the staff need training in basic waiting skills, customer service and someone needs to take charge! We were not greeted with a good morning, your room number please. So we aided in what seemed to be really hard work for the staff to seat us at a table. We asked for Earl Grey and the reply was 'What!'. Erm Excuse me! Do not speak to a paying customer in that attitude. Around 5 mins later it finally arrived. The buffet breakfast was appauling. No bowls, juice was low the selection of fruit, cereals, pastries was discustiing. It looked empty. The hot breakfast was table service, no one came to take our order. Several attempts to get some staff to just acknowledge us was hard enough as they seemed to be dancing around the dining room like headless chickens with no idea what they were doing. We ordered scramled eggs and soya milk porridge. 25Mins later it still had not arrived. We pulled a waitress up and asked where our food was, and started to take our order??!! No we ordered 25mins ago and want to know the whereabouts. She never came back to tell us, another 5mins passed and my partners scrambled eggs arrived as a pile of yellow mush and one half of untoasted bread. YUK. My porridge never arrived. We left. The 2nd attempt at breakfast the next day was no better, and as I scouted around the room it wasnt just us who were having issues. People were asking wheres the pastries, can we have more toast... marmalade... this bread isnt toasted. But asking the waiting staff 2/3 times. We tried to order soya milk porridge again and was told by one waiter it was pre made and no cant make any and by another we dont have that milk. So what does that mean for anyone who has a dietary requirement? Plus another thing we noticed none of the tables were cleared so we sat amonst dirty plates and dishes!!!! I have never seen such a disorganised set up and the staff need some simple training including the 'suits' serving at breakfast. I was really disapointed and angry, most of all the staff really really let the hotel down. CREAR HOTELS, you have hotels in fantastic locations, please please sort your staff out with some and thank yous. GUESTS..... simple hotel for a bed but dont waste your money on it if you want something a little bit more.

having read previous reveiws i think these guys stayed at a different hotel.. all the staff bent over backwards to serve us. they always had huge smiles and a minute or to to pass the time of day with you.. selection for dinner was a little restricted but good food and at the price (15 quid for 3 courses when you paid before arriving) was more than adequate.
loved the lesiure facilities very relaxing. and the spa treatments i got from chloe were just what we needed.. dont know if its because im irish and we really know what expensive means but i found everything to be pretty cheap..
stayed in the bank house wich was georgus and really good size. ok not main hotel but its so quiet and a gourgus building ..
i would love to saythanks to the manager peter who was freindly helpfull and full ofcrack...
thanks a millon everybody...
