if you are looking for a hotel that offers good food and service in a very quiet setting there is no better around . it is very relaxing and if the weather does not suit take a book for the lovely lounge and indulge in a not expensive lunch

Having stayed a couple of nights this week at the Pine Trees Hotel, I would commend it as a proper country house hotel. The lounge, a long room the width of the house, was furnished with ample sofas and chairs which guests could sink into and enjoy their quiet time. There were plenty of books to peruse and games to dip into should the weather be inclement. We stayed in the Molyneaux Suite, a huge room with a vast four poster bed and two window alcoves with armchairs set there so we could thoroughly enjoy the views over the breathtaking surrounding countryside. Breakfast was a delight, our selections always piping hot and beautifully cooked and presented. The staff at the hotel were attentive without being intrusive and offered helpful advice regarding excursions. Generally, the atmosphere was calm and inviting, a place we will look forward to returning to. Thank you.

In all 32 yrs of marriage we have never been back to a hotel before, but we stayed last year at Pine Trees for 4 nights in August and thought what an amazing hotel. The food was wonderful the staff very friendly and efficient and attentive. The room and public areas were relaxing and all that a country hotel should be that we decided on our way to the highlands this year we would stay for a couple of nights at Pine Trees to break the journey. We were a bit concerned that our stay may not be as good and spoil our previous memory of the hotel. We need not have worried the two nights were just as delightful as our previous visit. The food was just as superb the staff just as attentive. We had a different room which was just as comfortable and clean as last year. Pine Trees is a real find a wonderful hotel which we can't recommend more highly. We may even go back for a third visit next year!

Room Tip: We understand from other guests this year that the annex has been refurbished to a very high standar...

We have stayed in Dunkeld when in this area previously...this hotel is quite a find. We loved the rich colours of the foyer and public rooms. We spoilt ourselves and had a suite. It was huge. Beautifully decorated with stucco ceilings and walls ...king size four poster bed, two fireplaces and up to date albeit small, bathroom. We had dinner and breakfast...both excellent, though at dinner our starters arrived within 2 minutes of ordering which took us a little by surprise with our cocktails: it did however make us linger longer with our wine so we had the cheese which was at perfect temperature. The staff we met were for the most part Romanian and were charming, efficient and had excellent English. Would stay here again.

stayed for the weekend in a superior double room, found the room to be well above what i expected, staff are friendly and very obliging to help with any matter you might have. we asked for breakfast in the room which we had on both nights very good breakfast, wasnt enough coffea for two people tho, however that was the only fault. Had dinner on our last night, no complaints on this front either, all though there are some fabulous restaraubts to be had in the village centre.

Room Tip: if you book a superior room get the owl room, absaloutely fantastic room, should be a junior suite.

We found this hotel by accdent, and we are very gad we did. It is just our style, traditionally furnished. We stayed twice, on our way North and again on our return. Room 3, which we occupied during our second stay, was a lot better than the suite (14) we had on our first visit. The staff are friendly and wecoming and service, both at reception and in the dining room was first-rate. You must have dinner, the food is superb!

Hotel is well situated although up a hill for walking. Hotel is ok but needs attention to housekeeping.
Room comfortable but needs attention to cleaning. Mentioned it when leaving and told the comment would be passed onto management. Breakfast fine. This hotel is run by friendly staff who were more than obliging but lack of management/ownership shows. Overpriced.

Room Tip: No lifts so rooms need to be allocated due to personal ability

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that the staff looked after you well in my absence. Unfortunately, although "management" is normally hands on, an extended period of illness has not made this possible for the last couple of months. We are now back on track and hope that the next time you visit, your experience will be much improved!!
