Stayed here for one night with a friend during a cycling tour of Scotland.
The hotel is exactly how it should be, efficient, clean and wecoming. Staff offered us half price tickets to the theatre upon arrival and although we were too tired to go, it was nice of them to offer. It felt more welcoming than the usual sign in procedure.
Slepped in a room for 6 with an en suite however there was only one other person in the room. It was very quiet and peaceful and the beds were fairly comfortable although squeaky.
There is a tv room, well equipped kitchen, internet access and a selection of books and board games. Also a locked bike shed.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Pitlochry Youth Hostel is situated only 10 minutes' walk from the busy but small Victorian town. With 53 beds and en-suite bedrooms, Pitlochry Youth Hostel is ideal for families, groups or individuals looking for budget accommodation. Visitors can enjoy the spectacular views of the town from the youth hostel dining room. The youth hostel, which opened its doors 35 years ago, offers two separate lounges to enjoy some quiet time or to speak with other guests. Wi-Fi during your stay: We do our best to deliver a free Wi-Fi service but apologise that connectivity, particularly in our rural locations, can be intermittent due to the level of our current broadband provision along with high usage when the youth hostel is busy.
