“great b+b in fantastic setting”
Reviewed 16 May 2010

2mins walk to main street but is set in a very quiet location. B+B is warm and welcoming with a selection of whatever you want for a great breakfast. Walkers and cyclists are catered for exceptionally well. Owners will go out of their way to help you out. All in all a little gem that we will not hesitate to use again and again.

My family (mum, dad, husband, sister) had a 2 ight stay here over the Easter weekend. We found the place to be super! Very clean, spacious rooms, wonderful breakfast and warm and friendly hosts. The idea of having a lounge area really worked too as we had 3 seperate rooms so it was nice to sit together in the evening.

Only drawback for my parents (in their 70s) was that the B&B is someway off the main street up a hill so my parents had to take a taxi home in the evening.

My husband and I have jsut returned form Dunmurry Lodge. We stayed here in May 2006, and everything is just as good since our first visit. Dunmurry Lodge is very well decorated, exceptionally clean and towlels, and bed linen are of the highest quality. Although there are just 4 rooms, the choice at breakdfast would put some of the large chains to shame. Irene leaves a menu in your room the night before and you make your choices and give a time when you will be down for breakfast. This ensures that what you have ordered is made fresh, There is a little lounge area with nice comfy sofas, and a bookcase with maps and guide books of the area. Tony will give advice on where to eat, the best views and knows the surrounding area very well. I will have no hesitation in recommending this to all my friends.

We travelled form Sydney to enjoy the delights of the Scottish Homecoming year, and Irene and Tony did the Highlands proud with a stay that would be difficult to beat anywhere in the world, from the cosy warmth and presentation of the Stewart Room through to the Porridge and Kippers for breakfast. Simply put: Perfect.

Irene and Toby were wonderful hosts!! The food was excellent - probably the best we had during our stay in Scotland - both in the town and at the B & B. The B & B was elegant while cozy and nicely appointed!! I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel! The location on the edge of town was nice too - close enough to walk but not in the heart of things. The bed was a little uncomfortable but it probably was more about the fact that it was the fourth bed I had slept in within a 10-day period. I highly recommend this B & B!!

My Wife and I only had one night in Pitlochry after arriving by train. The location is probably about 1km from the station and up a hill from the main street.
When we arrived we were greeted by Tony who said if we had contaced him he would have collected us from the train. The house and our room was tastefully decorated and very clean. We had dinner in one of the pubs off the main street.
Breakfast the next morning was very good with an excellent range.
This was our first stay in a B&B in the UK after hearing mixed reviews from friends about the state of some B&Bs in the country. However, both my wife and I enjoyed our brief stay and would highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a clean and professionally run B&B in Pitlochry.
Internet access wasn't available - which we always appreciate. However email could be sent via the owners for a small charge. Maybe something they could look at in the future.
Despite this small drawback we would highly recommend this establishment.

Tony and Irene run one of the top B&Bs in Scotland. I would use Dunmurray Lodge as my home base again for any trip with any group. You'll never see a more charming, well-decorated B&B or eat a more fantastic breakfast. All of Tony's suggestions were right on, from food to sights. Dunmurray is the BEST!
