Having stayed at Fishers previously, we decided to stay overnight before moving further north to Aberdeen.
We booked in for bed breakfast and evening dinner.
The room was fine and quiet, if a little dated, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in.
We went down to dinner a little early to avoid any rush, as there was a coach load of continental tourists staying, who had arrived that afternoon, and we were advised it may be busy?
Down stairs was undergoing some refurbishment (again as it was on the previous occasion that we stayed) the smell of paint was very strong.
Fortunately the smell did not permiate the dining room, which is very elegant.
Being virtually empty such a large room lacked atmosphere, our fault for being too clever by dining early?
The staff were very attentive, but the meal was poor, as was the menu which had little choice.
Plates were cleared the moment we finished each course, a little too quickly?
The small bar is comfortable, with an excellent barman, and it is possible to eat in there and in the garden room which is what we should have done, because the bar menu was better with more choice. The food although produced in the same kitchen appeared more appertising and of better value.
Following a good nights sleep, we went down to breakfast.
Same attentive staff, but the food again was poor, dried eggs, over cooked bacon, very dissapointing.
The town however is lovely and a favourite of ours. If you have not visited Pitlochry then you really should.

Room Tip: Choose a refurbished room overlooking the gardens and on the second floor, it does have lifts.

Just returned from 2 nights in the Fisher hotel. Room was spotless clean, breakfast was excellent - good choice and staff were friendly and efficient. Did not have Dinner but overheard people saying that they had an excellent meal. We will be back.

For £82.00 Bed & Breakfast, I expected the room to been in a better condition. Door frame looked as though it had been forced open at some point. Window frame needed to be looked at and the room was constantly hot which meant that you had to open the window which did not stay open.

Unfortunately due to my friend taking ill, we had to cancel the remainder of our stay at The Fisher's Hotel. The receptionist was most helpful and only charged for the nights we stayed. We had also booked for the theatre and I gave her the tickets, asking if she could pass them on to someone. She offered to sell them for me and managed to get more than half the price back for me. I received the money today. I have stayed before at the hotel and will certainly be staying there again

We are just back from an overnight stay at Fishers Hotel. I was slightly worried after reading some other reviews but my worries turned out to be unfounded. We checked in and were directed to our room. The room was a good size and had a large modern bathroom. Everything was clean and tidy and there was nothing to complain about with our room. The hotel itself is also very nice and in a fantastic location. It was ideal for us as we were going to the Enchanted Forest and the bus picks up from the front door of the hotel. It is very central, surrounded by lovely restuarants, pubs and shops. Our only complaint was the breakfast. We ordered a full english and it was disappointing. It seemed to have been sitting a while and was rather dry and tasteless, we left most of it. There was also a continental breakfast buffet which may have been better. Overall though, it was a great hotel for our stay and the breakfast was the only down point.

Room Tip: We obviously had a recently decorated room and bathroom, so following on from previous reviews it ma...
