Spent a splendid weekend at Fishers Hotel in lovely Pitlochry with my girlfriend. The room (at the rear) was first class. Very comfy bed, nicely furnished and spacious. The staff were courteous and efficient without exception. We had dinner both nights and that too was very good. All at real value for money prices. A super, traditional hotel in a fine location. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear, in the refurbished section

Had a girls weekend in Pitlochry stayed at the Fisher's we had dinner on the Friday night it was delicious, its in the middle of a face lift and was different from the last time i was there ,We paid £95 it was worth every penny The staff were very nice and efficient, the entertainment was not to our taste but its in the middle of the town so you have loads of choices.

Booked through easy breaks and cost £158 for 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast for a couple. Asked for and received refurbished room which was really nice, super king sized bed looking over Main Street. Food quality and presentation was absolutely wonderful, we were delighted with this. Staff were extremely efficient and all very friendly, never had to wait for anything. Would definitely recommend this as so central, everything on the doorstep. Super band in the bar called Shamanic on the first night, played all the Beatles and Stones. Other good entertainment in McKays, they had a Scottish duo called Tarneybackle, thoroughly enjoyable.

Stayed for one night in April 2013. Found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful but the decor and appearance is tired. The bed in the room I had was very uncomfortable and I didn't manage to get much sleep. The facilities were just adequate and cleanliness could have been improved. The blind in my room was hanging off and the tiles on the bathroom floor wobbled when walked on and required re grouting. The other problem I experienced was an inflexible timing of breakfast. I required to leave the hotel early but was informed that breakfast was only served from 0730hours so I had to miss this. The receptionist did offer to arrange a packed lunch instead that i could collect on leaving but this is not quite the same!

Enticed by a ballroom/latin dinner dance and overnight, we were somewhat disappointed to find the 'band' was a drummer and accordionist more inclined to play Scottish country dance music, with repeated cries of people to take the floor for a 'strip the willow'(duly ignored). The food was distinctly average, but it WAS mass catering-mostly to disappointed dancers! The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a tiny tv with decent reception on bbc1 only.Breakfast was served, not buffet, but not cooked to order as it was served too quickly and was cold. The hotel was full, but many of the dancers-some of whom had travelled great distances-were very disappointed with the music on the night.
