After 4 days of disappointment dining out around the Blair Atholl, Pitlochry, Dunkeld area we stumbled across the Fishers Hotel. We were greeted by a nice lady who showed us where the restaurant was. Clean, fresh and clothed tables, 4 occupied tables of 2 and 6 waiting staff. We were seated immediately, showed both menus then left for 10 mins to browse the menu. Waitress came across and proceeded to take food order, I pointed out that we hadn't ordered drinks, she took both food/drinks orders. Starters arrived, well presented, very tasty. Mains arrived, again well presented and very tasty. I'm pleased that there was no issue as no one checked back on our table. After finishing our main courses we witnessed staff waking past our table with our finished plates for over 10 mins. We were asked if our meal was ok, which it was. Got the bill and left. We felt that the waiting staff lacked in customer service, they spent more time talking to each other or walking about trying to look busy whilst paying customers are being neglected. Beautiful hotel, lovely front house staff, good chefs, poor waiting staff.
Still left a £5 tip, we always tip.More
