We spent here 2 night with friends during a round trip in Scotland. We were happy with the rooms, the service but the overall impression was excellent with the place...but recommended for backpackers and students only. :)

Beautiful small hostel, with friendly staff, nice rooms, and free tea and hot chocolate! You can use the dishes in the kitchen, kettle and cook for yourself. You can buy a breakfast in the morning for pennies. They make very nice scones. It's an excellent place to stay for a night or two if you want to visit Pitlochry. BTW The Spanish guy from Barcelona who worked at the reception (I think his name was Tony) went an extra mile whenever we needed anything. He should get a bonus!

Room tip: Choose a room with a view on the Main Street. We loved it at night. The further from the lounge the quieter it will be.

Just home from another great 4 night stay at the Backpackers. Friendly staff and guests. Warm, clean, bright and homely hotel right in the heart of Pitlochry. I would never dream of staying anywhere else.
