“Traditional Scottish Pub”
Reviewed 17 October 2011

We ate a couple of times in the public bar. Brilliant atmosphere with a roaring fire, too hot if you could only get a seat near it! Excellent value food and even better real ale brewed on the premises. 'Ale of Atholl' my favourite but I tried them all. Good selection of Malt whiskies on the gantry.
A first class pub.

Beautiful old hotel with a brewery attached. Don't stay here if you haven't good legs - there's no lift and the stairs are steep. The room was clean and everything worked. A good choice of food in the restaurant and bar next door. Excellent beer from the brewery. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good with a lot of choice. (even fruit pudding with the full Scottish)

stayed for a single night at the weekend. Standard room was excellent, clean, warm and plenty of space. Staff friendly and helpful. Just ate in the bar in the evening, food was fresh and tasty, and the beer is GREAT!! Brewed on the premis and well worth a taste...

Lovely short stopover and we will certainly be back in the future

Visit to Pitlochry for wedding on 3rd September, stayed two nights, wish it could have been more. Our room was lovely, beautifully furnished and the bathroom was huge with a corner bath. All spotlessly clean and well appointed. Breakfast was very nice, well cooked and plenty of choice. We had one evening meal in Inn , huge portions and well cooked. Hotel is traditional Scottish decor and a real find, helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere, thoroughly reccommend.

This was our second stay at The Moulin, the first being 3 years ago. We had been promising ourselves another visit for some time and were not disappointed. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, our room was clean and comfortable, service was excellent and the breakfasts were particularly good. The only suggestion I would make is the addition of a daily special on the restaurant menu. The dinner menu was varied and interesting but it didn't change while we were there (3 nights) so if we had been staying longer we would probably have had a bar meal in the inn next door. The rates are really good value and we hope to return before too long.

Hotel was excellent; set in a very picturesque location a few minutes drive from Pitlochary. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the meals were very good indeed. We will certainly go back!
