I truly thought that really poor service in Scottish Hotels had disappeared but I was proven wrong.
We went in early evening to try and find somewhere to eat and also somewhere to attend to our 10 moth old Grand Daughter. When we asked what eating facilities were available it was clear that the male and female employees we spoke to would rather have not seen us in their restaurant. Their attitude was cold and condescending and the only offer of help was to tell us that "there are plenty of places down in the town". Why did they think we drove out of town up to their hotel. It was because we thought it may have been more comfortable.
We did not stay. It looks like a hotel which attracts older clients as evidenced by the tour company names on the numerous tour buses outside. So if you are looking for a child friendly hotel, you may be advised to look elsewhere.More
