“Good stay”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

We stayed there for two nights and had a really good time. our two rooms were nice, normal size and clean. They decorated it very tasteful, quite modern which we liked. The beds were a big hard...
The bathrooms were quite big and comfortable.
We ate there twice and liked it very much. You should definetly eat there to.

We especially enjoyed that you feel like in a mixture between hotel but as well B&B. The owners (family business) are very nice and friendly people. So don't expect a classical hotel, it's actually much more like a B&B.

This house has it's own charm and we would definetly recommend it and go there again.

After being put off early when told the room was not ready (rather abruptly as it seemed to us) we were warmly welcomed to a comfortable well appointed superior room. The views were lovely and the lounge cosy if a little small. The evening meals was excellent and breakfasts plentiful.Overall a good experience.

Room Tip: Superior front room was excellent

We really enjoyed our stay in the Tigh Na Cloich. Very comfortable, with an excellent menu of good quality. Mr and Mrs Williams looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble.
Also, Pitlochry and surrounding areas are spectacular, with lovely scenery and towns and villages spotlessly clean with colourful hanging baskets abounding.

Room Tip: First floor front - lovely views. No lift

Just spent another weekend in our favourite hotel in Pitlochry. We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. Tigh Na Cloich is very special to us and the hosts Helen and Peter are very special people, friendly, generous and genuine. They welcome us as dear friends and we never want to leave! Peter is the most wonderful Chef, cooking excellent food with lots of choice and nothing is ever any trouble to either of them. It is spotlessly clean with fantastic facilities. The lounge is ideal for relaxing and enjoying a pre-dinner glass of wine with wonderful views. Helen and Pete are a top notch team along with their excellent staff. We look forward to our return.

We were at Tigh Na Cloich Hotel for two wonderful days on last August: we were travelling with a little group and we entered the hotel out of curiosity: love at sight! We said good-bye to our friends on the coming back way to Edinburgh: we decided to stay there...just a short time!
Excellent accommodation: perfect room (our room # 4).
Peter so kind and so helpful: really a "sir".
Fantastic food: Helen is a wonderful cook and she is very open about her cooking (I'm a man but when it is possible I like cooking too: she gave me some of her receipts, drawing for me any phase on a little sheet...red cabbage...pudding...I have to try!).
Special and friendly atmosphere in a very elegant "home": we will come back!

Room Tip: Our room was #4: it was really large, very clean and had a wonderful view and the bed was really com...

Very charming, quiet, small hotel! We stayed four nights in August and loved it. With amazing food and service, it was spotless and in a great location. Though our room (#5) was a bit crowded (we were traveling for two weeks and had lots of bags and gear) it was well-appointed and we made do very well. They have a lovely lounge and sitting room area for before and after dinner, and any other time you want to relax and enjoy the lovely view or chat with other guests. I have unusual food allergies, to very common ingredients, and Peter, a talented chef, rose to the occasion with excellent meals every night we were there. After our first dinner I had no desire to look for another place to dine. He dealt with the situation gracefully and gave me choices each night--not simply offering one alternative. Breakfasts were also outstanding. Staff were well-trained, and professional and the owners, Peter and Helen, are attentive, charming and sincere. It's a short walk down the path to the high street and for any other adventures, Helen offers great advice knowledge about the local attractions. Our room had a great shower with plenty of water pressure to wash my long hair. The wifi was strong and reliable. Without a doubt, they're on our short list for a return trip.
