“Utterly Charming surprise boutique hotel, and flawless food.”

Unexpectedly found ourselves in the Pitlocry area on a bank holiday weekend on Sunday with no reservations for accommodations or dinner. It was 9pm and we had three cranky hungry car-bound kids. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO FIND GREATNESS!!! A kind hotelier seeing our plight recommended this little hotel tucked out of town, we were skeptical of its merits but desperate, since everything was sold out. We were AMAZED d by the charm and grace of the sisters who run of East Haugh who despite a slammed weekend for the award winning restaurant showed us into the two adjoining just right, micro sized attic rooms which were so well appointed, romantic, fun and creative. The building a beautiful little stone gem, the bar perfect for a nip, the grounds were covered in wild tulips and the food is Simply OUTSTANDING. Breakfast was romantic and one of the best breakfasts we have run across. Both the food and the accommodations were priced well and we thank them for their hospitality. Only blip we had was trying to shower five people in this little house after the huge flow holiday dinner service. Hot water was understandably not happening for long, but had loads of it in the morning.

We spent 3 nights at East Haugh because my son was cycling in the Etape Caledonia. The hotel was a great find, the hotel & our room very comfortable indeed, the staff extremely friendly and helpful and the food absolutely great -couldn't have wished for anything better. Our hostess was even kind enough to drive us the few miles into the town (as parking was impossible that day) to view the event. Pressure will be put on my son to enter again next year just so that we can spend more time at the hotel.

Room Tip: Our room in the cottage adjacent to the main building was warm and comfortable despite cold weather...

Stayed at the East Haugh as we have done for the last 3 years. Once again the staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble.

We had booked 3 rooms and each room was clean and comfy. Being rather tall, it was great to find a bath that I could actually fit in without my knees sticking out.

The hotel is family run and it was nice to see that the owners and staff remembered us from the previous year. This is a hotel that does take pride in ensuring you have a enjoyable holiday.

The food was lovely with a heavy emphasis on meat and fish, being a hunting lodge, though veggies were well catered for with the staff offering to cook specific dishes to suite. The catering staff even got up to serve breakfast at 5:00am for those of us doing the etape, and even managed to be cheerful about it.

This place is a lovely small hotel that manages to maintain the closeness of a family run place, while offering high class food and accomodation. The hotels greatest assest are the owners and staff, who made our weekend as enjoyable as ever. Hopefully we will be back next year.

Room Tip: There are different rooms, but those who are taller or wider may wish for jacuzzi bath as they are h...

First class family run hotel that we rate very highly. The entire staff were extremely welcoming and the standard of food is superb. We were welcome to take our dog and will definitely be returning in the future.

Room Tip: Just give the hotel your requirements and they will be happy to meet your needs.

We booked the hotel very last minute after an un-scheduled visit to pitlochery. Absolutely wonderful! We only wished we could stay for longer. Staff absolutely fantastic, very friendly and fab service throughout our stay. Room was beautiful. Restaurant great, food great, staff fab. This hotel is a little treasure! Will definately be visiting again! Highly recommend! Thanks East Haugh!

Sadly only a one night stay, but certainly one to remember.

Friendly, welcoming staff, a lovely atmosphere, and an amazing room complete with 4 poster. Immaculately presented.

The food was excellent, and all locally sourced.

Negatives: too hot, with a heating system that seemed immune to being turned off!! Would have liked maybe more old world wine. 4 for location due to traffic noise from A9, but maybe that should be 5 for convenience?

Anyway, none of the above detracted from an excellent night's stay.

Highly recommended.

I stayed overnight with my 3 children and a friend of theirs. The hotel couldn't have been more accommodating, organising last minute extra bed in one room and an early dinner for us to go to the Theatre. Both rooms were very comfortable, we had a delicious meal in the evening and a lovely breakfast the next day. Every thought was given to our comfort, will definitely come again.
