We booked a superior room, all very last minute. When we arrived we were told 'our room' had been getting a makeover and wasn't quite ready. We were taken out to the apartments at the back of the hotel instead. The one bed apart was lovely, it was a nice treat and very relaxing. Lovely and clean and wonderfully furnished. The owners are very nice personable people. Breakfast in the conservatory was very tasty. We can't recommend highly enough and we would definitely return. There is lots of local info available, if you can fit in a theatre trip also, well worth doing.

We would recommend the Claymore to anyone looking for an idyllic place to stay. Perfect location. Best two nights sleep we had in ages. Our room was very spacious, cosy, well equipped clean and homely. Excellent breakfast menu choices, though I wasn't brave enough to try Diane's porridge with whiskey! Maybe next time ;) Graham gave us lots of helpful info on where to go and what to do etc. nothing was too much trouble. The overall balance was just perfect and we would certainly stay here if we were in the area again.

Just spent 1 night here with my elderly Mum. Diane & Greame couldn't have been more pleasant. A lovely couple with a lovely business. Very clean and a beautiful conservatory to eat a wonderful breakfast in. Well done. I wish there were more like you. Will tell anyone going to Pitlochry where to stay. Thank you.

We got the last room as Pitlochry was packed for the Enchanted Forest. Graham & Diane are charming people with a lovely house. We booked for 2 nights, but loved the house & the area so we stayed for 4. Excellent full Scottish or Continental breakfasts, and very high standards throughout. We will recommend to friends & family.

Room Tip: We stayed in the annex, room 11, which is spacious & has the most comfortable queen bed of our j...

This was our second visit to The Claymore and can say, without any doubt, that its one of the best hotels ever!!!!! Graham and Diane continue to be the perfect hosts matched with a spotless residence. They are always very welcoming and courteous and no request is any trouble. The rooms are all very modern and extremely clean. Breakfast is superb, and there is free WiFi. Perfectly located for easy touring of the surrounding areas. Within a few moments walk of the town centre. Very knowledgeable of where to go and what to do. Keep up the great work, we'll be back soon!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: We have stayed in room 1 this visit which is perfect for a couple. We have also previously stayed in...

Definitely would recommend and would stay again. Dull day outside but nice welcome inside and the rest was very, very good. Room, cleanliness, typical Scottish breakfast (good choice available), etc etc. Wifi connection worked straightaway.
