Dalshian House is a wonderful old house situated in a beautiful, wooded, quiet area. The house itself is charming with roaring log fires in the lounge and the dining room and comfortable couches to sink back into and relax. Owners Martin and Heather welcomed us warmly and showed us to our room. The room was large and spacious with beautiful furnishings and a very comfortable bed, and a selection of tea and coffee and delicious, freshly made shortbread was waiting in our room on our arrival. After dining out in the evening, we returned to the lounge where we were able to sit by the fire until late. We enjoyed a very comfortable night's sleep. The shower was powerful and large and the bathroom, like the rooms and the rest of the house, was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was a truly fantastic experience! Some of the fruit on the cold buffet had been grown in the garden and the eggs came from chickens across the road. I enjoyed Eggs Benedict and my husband had a delicious, full Scottish breakfast. A basket of bread was brought to the table with brown and white toast, raisin bread, blueberry muffins and banana bread, all home-made, all fantastic.
This B&B is of the highest quality and visitors can expect a truly wonderful, relaxing stay where they will be welcomed and well looked after. We'll be back!More
