Description: The Old Mill Inn offers a menu to delight every palate. We pride ourselves on serving the best fresh local produce and our dishes have been created to offer a wide choice, incorporating everything from old favourites such as golden whole tail scampi & golden chips through to a smorgasbord of delectable salmon on our popular Tay salmon platter - all with the Old Mill Inn's own twist, of course! We also have a daily specials board to choose from. The Old Mill restaurant is open each day from 8am for breakfast and we serve delicious meals between 12pm - 9pm daily. From November to April the kitchen may be closed between 3-5pm. We offer indoor and outdoor seating - if the weather is nice, there's nothing better than enjoying a cold drink on the decking watching the world go by to the sound of the mill wheel. If you have any dietary requirements please inform staff on arrival. We are delighted to offer free WiFi access* throughout the Bar & Bistro.

“Always great”
Reviewed 1 September 2013 via mobile

Over the years, my husband and I have stopped here regularly, mainly while out cycling. Sometimes just for a drink or a latte, sometimes for lunch. Cyclists are very welcome, and there is a bike rack in the beer garden. Staff are always friendly and efficient. We were having a day off cycling, so headed to the Old Mill for lunch. A nice menu, plenty of fresh options and we both went for the breaded haddock & chips. It's huge ( see my picture), and I could only manage half of it although my husband did a better job. Very well presented and a lovely piece of fish. I would have preferred more of the mushy peas too, they were delicious. Our next visit to the area is in October and we will definitely be back. The weather may determine whether we will be cycling there from Tummel Bridge or not but we will be there regardless

“poor service”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

four of us had a meal outside at the old mill. the waitress leaned right over one of us to pass the plate to another, she also tried to take a plate away before it was finished, worst of all when I asked for another drink she told me to go to the bar and get it myself!

“Good value”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

If you are in Pitlochry but not staying at the hotel I would recommend to you to have a meal at the hotel. Right in the centre of town and offering a good menu at reasonable prices. There is a bar with a meals area, lounge seating and outside for the warmer days, there is a good atmosphere.
We stayed at the hotel and took a walk to the other hotels but returned the Old Mill is the better one on offer.

“Attractive restaurant and bar”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

We stumbled upon this place and then spend our whole evening there - first eating at the restaurant and then taking a couple of drinks at the bar. There is also a nice sitting area outside next to the paddle wheel.
The food was very good and prepared absolutely fresh in the kitchen. From our place we could watch the guys prepare food and everything coming out there looked delicious and nicely arranged on the plates.
We had a very nice waitress at our table but there were also some gruff waiters around.

“So good to be back!”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

We stayed at the Old Mill Inn a year ago and it's great to be back. The restaurant is easily as good as before, serving delicious meals for a reasonable price, with friendly courteous service. We (couple plus 1 child of 10) ate here for 2 of our 3 nights staying here. The cullen skink as a starter (smoked haddock and potato cream soup, if you've not come across it before) for £5.25 is just about one of the nicest things I've ever eaten - I could happily eat this every day! The chargrilled chicken supreme with wild mushrooms served on tagliatelle (£13.95) was another highlight, as was today's special marinated pork with honey glazed parsnips and caramelised apple (£12.95) - all utterly delicious.
The waiting staff have been a delight, taking good friendly care of us without being too obtrusive. The breakfasts are also fantastic - eggs benedict has been my favourite, and fresh fruit including huge fresh raspberries.
Worth booking, very good for families with kids or for adult groups or couples. A very stylish, comfortable and inviting interior with a great atmosphere. Great service and truly lovely food :)
