“Very tasty.”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

Four of us dined here yesterday evening. It was very quiet but we received a warm welcome and the staff were very helpful. We ordered starters and mains and the Indian dishes were all lovely. However, when we ordered the mains I did ask if the fried chicken in the European section was chicken breast and I was assured it was. But, we weren't expecting it to be chicken nuggets, albeit 'good quality' chicken nuggets but when you're expecting a lovely tender chicken breast it doesn't quite hit the spot! Wine was a little overpriced but all in all it was ok, give it a try. Xxx

Not sure about some of the negative reviews on here we went on Saturday 16th August there were a few people in, we were served very quickly by a Eastern European lady who took our order, we had Mushroom Pakora for starters which was lovely then Chicken Rogan Josh and Chicken Madras both lovely and tasty. Would recommend

“the jewel in the crown”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

excellent food, choice, value and service - no wonder Asians eat hear! The menu is varied and caters for all tastes including vegetarian, childrens and English foods. The prices are good value and reasonable, the food, atmosphere, decor and standard of service was high. Recommend this at 10pm on a weekday evening without pre booking.

“Disappointing!”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

Myself and my boyfriend visited here as we were passing through the area. The atmosphere as we went in was dry! Staff could have been a lot more friendly. The food was disappointing aswell! Also I didn't like that it was delivered on a plastic trolley! Would definitely not visit here again!

“Rude manager and food could be better”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

The manager here was abrupt and rude. We were a party of 5 and they sat us at a table for 4 with one on the end, left a chair but never bothered to give us extra cutlery or a napkin. When the starters were finished they brought the main course out before they had even cleared the plates away. Felt rushed. They also brought out 4 dishes for each course when there were 5 of us, why not just wait for all the dishes and bring them out together at the same time? I was shocked about the price, really odd system of having to go to the counter with your table number to pay, not having the bill brought to the table. There was no table number on the table either, the rude man shouted it at us. The curries could have done with more kick to them too. Also we had ordered lamb but were given lamb tikka at extra cost, not what we wanted as lamb tikka tends to be tougher.
Will not be rushing back.
