“Great place, but bring a jacket”

Good for something to do if you don't mind the travel. Most commonly after 8pm it turns into a lovers lane type thing, and there are a fair few dog walkers around, but it's on a large enough area that it shouldn't affect you.

Bring a jacket because there is no protection from the wind.

There are a few benches around the area and several little interesting marks in the area, including a sundial! Pack a lunch and take a few hours to appreciate how close to the city you can be, but also how close to the green we are as well.

Great at night. The Big Car Park in the sky! Wouldn't miss the chance to experience the visit again. More houses now less green belt but still worth a visit.

This is a great park to visit on your own, with friends or family and dog. There are two water reservoirs within the park where many locals fish with no charge, good to start the kids fishing here.
The park has recently been improved, the walkways all round have been surfaced and access stairs have been renewed making the visit much better.
There is a great waterfall hidden in one of the pathway (it is signposted) but there is steps so limited access for some. The wildlife, plants and atmosphere are lovely.
The only downside is that there are no toilets, although there is a ranger station situated at the entrance of the park and they may help.

We used to take the dogs to the Braes for walking and exercise it is a wonderful area with lots of space to roam and let kids and animals run around. Lovely views over Paisley and the Campsies.
