I've visited the new 'Sanctuary Cafe' 4 times now at different times and it has been consistently very good and a 'breath of fresh air' re: some of the usual offerings in Paisley. They even reserve a table if you are coming with a few friends at a certain time. Phone number online.
Lovely old eclectic mix of tables and china-ware tea cups etc., The owners/Managers are very friendly and seem to care that you have a good experience. Various paninis/toasted/fresh sandwiches etc., all done freshly. My favourite is the BLT served with a little pot of red-cabbage coleslaw. All reminiscent of that 'byegone' era of a very good tea-room. I haven't tried their afternoon tea service (bookings suggested) served on an old cake-stand. The cakes on offer seem to change daily and are very luxurious.
All-in-all a very good experience and I'll definitely be back and have recommended to many friends. Please keep up the good service as this is somewhere worth visiting for lunch or luxury tea/coffee 09.30am - 17.00pm
