We decided to book our engagement party at the Kylestrome after having an amazing dinner. From the moment we stepped inside all the staff were extremely welcoming and genuine. We decided to book a room on the night of our party too. The function room is very modern and can comfortably fit 60-70 people with lots of space to dance.

Yvonne (the duty manager) has obviously lots of experience organising events and nothing was too much trouble even organising our chocolate fountain. Our buffet selection was large and we had loads left over for the morning after!

All the staff were genuinely interested in our party asking all night if everything was ok. The rooms are of a boutique standard with a superb breakfast the next day with “anything you want”. My friend who also stayed even got eggs Benedict (which is not an option) prepared for him with no fuss at all.

I'm not sure of the official star rating of the hotel but in my books it clearly stands with some 3-4 star hotels.

Throughly happy customer and would recommend to everyone for dinner, stay or event.

Me and my partner stayed here for two nights and found the hotel ok at times, room radiator did not work and was freezing also wifi didn't work.
We also noticed when we went to dinner they gave the other guests more hospotality than us they would ask them for the wine list and when it came to us they gave us the menu and said what u like to drink and never asked us if we wanted anything apart from more drink. Just felt like they did not treat us the same we were a young couple.
Also on the second night they were a party and put it this way 1oclock in morning ask first if there going to be a party stay away from room 12.
Food good, room poor, staff not consistant and overpriced £231 for two nights premier inn next time i think

A recent upgrade has seen "The Ivy Rooms" change back to old name of "The Kylestrome". This was our third visit over the past year and being local, it was for meals only on each occasion. The decor and layout had been revised to a high standard and the seating (why do some restaurants place diners so close to neighbouring tables........ yes I do know why) was spacious and comfortable. The menu was comprehensive and interesting and the service from entering and up to the table, was polite and friendly. As both Ayr and Prestwick have a multitude of quality eateries, the competition in the area is fierce. However, the "new" Kylestrome did not disappoint. The food was served promptly and it was excellent. We shall be back (again).

My husband and I stayed overnight in the Kylestrome hotel. We were very impressed with the standard of the hotel.
The staff are extremely friendly, from checking in to the service at the bar and restaurant. We could not fault the level of service provided at all. Also the quality of the food was excellent. One of the best meals I have had for ages. I had the trio of fish with corriander & chilli sauce & it was amazing.
The room was very warm however it was a rare hot day in Scotland.. The breakfast provided was good but as not much of an eater in the morning I would have liked the some fresh fruit or porridge. However there was the option of the full cooked breakfast which my husband said was lovely.
A great experience - thanks guys

Spent 1 night here on the 18th of June. After checking in we were shown to our rooms, yes shown, how many hotels do that? We had booked two singles and a double. The singles were bigger than some doubles that I have stayed in before. Decor really nice. Standard of service was excellent. Restaurant staff were great. Even though it was quite busy we never had to wait for anything. The overnight braised beef is to die for. All our food was of an excellent standard, praise to the kitchen staff. Breakfast was typically scottish. You really couldn't have asked for more.
