Beautiful gardens and coast to walk about and enjoy. You never feel as if you are surrounded by lots of people even when it is busy.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

Went for a day trip in the good weather! The grounds and beaches are beautiful and the sandy beach was stunning! Felt a bit annoyed at the price to get in (£10 just to park) as it hadn't been advertised anywhere! We also hadn't brought a lot of money so were unable to view the Castle BUT when I saw the upkeep of the surrounding areas I was happy that my money would be put to good use! Well worth a visit!

“one of the only parks in the world were you can enjoy nature”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

After traveling to many countries in the world i have come to a conclusion that this is the best park that anyone can go to.there are so many hidden paths around the park which are great for exploring and tons of wildlife and nature to feast your eyes on. there is no litter, a vast array of nature and wildlife, a great ice-cream shop and great walks for anytime of the year. this is a truly amazing park and i would recommend it to anyone who visits Ayr.

“Nice beach and walks”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

More of a aristocratic house than a castle, still interesting. But the best bits are the walks (tho they could be marked, it's a little confusing to know exactly which path you are on of walking in the woodland, or how to get down to the beaches) playground good and in a beautiful setting. Easy spend a whole day there. Needs an indoor picnic area tho.

“Excellent day out”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

Spent many hours here during a lovely summer's day. There are plenty of nice trails through the woodland and down to the beach. The views and gardens are excellent. With NT membership we went around the house, which is infinitely boosted by all the guides throughout the rooms. They were very welcoming and always happy to give you lots of information on the castle's history. A great day out, for old and young alike.
