We stayed with Joyce and Michael at the end of March/beginning of April 2012.
On arrival, we were greeted by Michael who gave us a parking permit and showed us to our room.We immediately felt at ease and welcome. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean (we had booked the luxury suite with 4-poster bed).Tea, coffee, biscuits. spring and still bottled water were provided in the room.
The bathroom was also immaculately clean and spacious with a supply of Arran Aromatics toiletries.
The guest lounge is also tastefully furnished and has a supply of books and games.
You can put your feet up on the chaise-longue and enjoy a complimentary dram of malt whisky or sherry.
Breakfast was superb - cerials, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts and a choice of cooked breakfasts (all tastefully served using Portmerion crockery and silver cutlery)
The accommodation is ideally located for castles, gardens, beaches and beautiful scenary. The Isle of Arran is easily accessible for a day trip via ferry from Ardrossan (a short drive away to the north.
Ayr town centre is a 5-minute walk away (although you would not think so being situated on a wide, quiet, blossom-tree lined crescent)
There are a variety of restaurants within minutes away on foot (I recommend the Glen Park - not only was the food superb, but is the home of the award- winning Ayr micro-brewery if you like a nice 'pint')
Joyce and Michael are two of the nicest, friendly and accomodating people you could wish to meet and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We could not fault a thing and have booked to return for another 4 nights commencing 31st MAY 2012 to explore the 'gardens of Galloway'
You would not be disappointed with a stay here - superb!

This was a gorgeous house, beautifully decorated and furnished with a feel of luxury. It is situated on a grand quite road. We had the four poster room which was very spacious and the decor was well thought out. A lot of attention to detail has gone into this guest house which makes it special. It is immaculately clean. Not a spec of dust to be found. And it smelt really clean too. The host Micheal, who met us at the door was very welcoming and friendly. His wife Joyce made a fantastic breakfast. I especially appreciated the variety of fruit in the fruit salad. I would highly recommend this guest house, you will not be dissappointed. Julia and Peter x

We don't usually do B & Bs but when I read this had 5 stars I was curious. It definitely can give most 5 star hotels a run for their money. Small but beautifully formed, everything that you might want but don't expect to get was in place.....from the welcome, the care and attention to detail was great, bottled water, chocolates, toiletries and not the usual stuff that large concerns buy in, these were local, eco friendly and smell amazing - Arran Aromatics. Breakfast to suit all diets and plenty of it, directions, helpful advice, there was nothing I could find fault with. Definitely where to go if visiting Ayr, central for the town, within walking distance and easy to get to attractions. Don't wait too long though as we couldn't get booked for June..........

First visit to Ayr. Received a great Scottish welcome.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed.
The five star rating is well desired.
Michael and Joyce really look after you.
Next time I visit this will be the place for me.

Oh and the full Scottish breakfast really sets the day of nicely.
