At this time of year we usually have a 2 night splurge between Gleneagles and Cameron House. After last year at a forgetable Cameron House we decided to give Cromlix a visit, boy are we glad we did.
Prior to our visit, we received a call from the Management asking if it would be possible to move our arrival day by one day due to a large party booking that would have occurred on our 2nd night, we agreed to move and were rewarded with an upgrade to a suite(largest I have ever been in), Free bottle of Champagne on arrival and the first night dinner on the house.
This hotel is superb in every way, the initial greeting from Lee was both warm and very friendly, Lee showed us round the hotel and then around our suite. excellent in every aspect.
Dinner is open plan and I was delighted that you can watch the team cooking the evening meal(and Breakfast), fascinating to say the least.Food quality was excellent.
Our waitress was a delightful young lady called Quin and she has a great rapport with the guests, super efficient too.
I can honestly say that every member of staff that we came across were very friendly.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and very, very comfortable, with great Egyptian Cotton Sheets and sumptuous Bathrobes.
Anybody does not know the area should be advised that it is well off the main B Class Road, probably a good 10 minute walk, although Hotel does have a courtesy car and about 2-3 miles outside the town of Dunblane.
This in our opinion was a positive as it made for a great relaxing couple of days.
From now on their will only be one winner in our yearly pre-Christmas splurge and this will definitely be at Cromlix House
