was staying nearby while up for Commonwealth games and decided to give this a try one evening. Doesnt look much from the outside but friendly pub inside and all 4 of us had excellent meals, I had the chcicken with haggis in a creamy mustard sauce, very surprised just good the meal was. Good selection of Scottish ales, I tried the "Thrappledouser" which was really good.
You order food at the bar as opposed table service but staff were friendly and helpful over the range of beers and food was served promptly for freshly cooked. Desserts were as good as mains and wife and I shared a good cheese board.
Mix of customers, locals, tourists like ourselves, some aging bikers made a good mix.
If back in the area would definitley go back and well worth a visit if in the area.
