Made three visits in a week long stay at Gartmore. First as a couple, then with four friends and lastly as a family. Never did we all enjoy ourselves so much. The food was excellent the portions gigantic and the banter so happy and cheery. Honestly, this place is a heaven on earth. I noticed that one person gave it a poor review. Who could it have been? Mr Scrooge? Bah humbug!!! If you're feeling low pay a visit to the Wee Blether, I guarantee you'll leave fully satisfied and with a smile as wide as an ocean.

I can't think of the right words to describe just how good this place is! the food, the genuinely lovely people, the character of the place, the location.....everything is perfect! We were in aberfoyle for a few nights and discovered this character filled gem of a place on our second last day. Its right on the shore of loch ard, just past the McDonald hotel and well worth a visit. We had the most fabulous, generously portioned, home made cake, from a selection of traditional and cakes with a twist ( snowy road is amazing!) Then went for breakfast the next morning and it was great too, the eggs ( I think they're from their own hens across the road) were so tasty!
The place itself is filled with fascinating nic nacks, lots of funny postcards, old memorabilia etc and the general atmosphere is so easy going. Both days a little selection of fruit just appeared for our baby boy, they made a lovely fuss of him too.
Tables inside or outside on the decking looking towards the loch.
Nothing seems too much hassle for them and we'll definitely stop in anytime we're in the area ( which I can see happening more often now we know about the wee blether!)
Thank you to all the staff there for making a lovely memory for us!

Was on our usual Scottish holiday and after a chat with a friend Annie at aberfoyl recommending this tea room a few miles up the rd by the loch... We decided to go see for our selfs .... It was every bit as lovely as we had been told ... Some call it retro me I called it amazing the little nic nacs hanging up placed around where smile inducing .... The decor again was a blast from the past yet modern you would have to see it to understand .... Now to the service ... 10 out of ten .... As mrs and mrs walked thru the door we were greeted with Friendly warm patient manners ... The cake omg was to die for can almost taste it now lol ... We most certainly will b calling back there the next time we r up .... Oh and one last thing .. The toilet .. Yes the loo .... Clean fresh and covered wall to wall in cartoon pages ... I sat there longer than necessary just reading lol that's worth a visit itself ... Ooo another last thing .. It's very disabled friendly ... Ok that's it for now ... Do try to get there ... Happy eating ... ......Irena and Kath

Stopped for a break on our bikes. Very good cakes and pleasant host, excellent views over Loch Ard but cappucino a bit flat.

This wee tearoom is a real treat, proper sized cake portions, just what a cyclist needs when out mountain biking in the Trossachs.
