“Lochs and Glens delight”

We travelled by coach from Poole to Loch Achray Hotel and the journey was enjoyable thanks to Dan our excellent driver who made the whole holiday a pleasure. The hotel was first class with a good sized room overlooking the lake. The food and restaurant could not be faulted with a very good menu.
The entertainment was good and the bar prices reasonable. Trips each day filled the holiday including good seats at the Edinburgh Tattoo. Having travelled with other coach holiday companies, Lochs and Glens sets the standard. We are now looking forward to our next trip with them

Room Tip: Loch view at front, rural at rear, all rooms quiet, wifi in foyer

The hotel is owned by Lochs and Glens Holidays mainly for coach tours, but they also fill their empty rooms with self drive guests which we did for a few days recently at a really reasonable price. The hotel, food, rooms and staff were all excellent. I have paid more in so called fancy hotels which have not been as good as this. There was entertainment every evening and it was just a pity that more of the guests didn't take advantage of that. The meal times are varied in "sittings" to fit in with the coach tour parties who arrive back to the hotel at varying times but this was not a problem once we got used to the idea, and it was all dealt with smoothly and efficiently. At breakfast once they learned whether you preferred tea or coffee this was ready for you on the table when you arrived for your breakfast sitting. Other guests we spoke to had stayed at other hotels in the Group, and all received praise.

Room Tip: The rooms on the front have Loch Views and the ones at the back have a view of the Mountains and Ben...

Last month we enjoyed our first holiday with Lochs & Glens. For the price charged we could not believe what was included in the price. The hotel and staff were excellent. The choice of food, at meal times, was extremely good. We enjoyed the excursions which included entrance fees and a boat trip. The evening entertainment was enjoyable especially the Scottish dancing,
Our coach driver, Tracy, was very informative and could not enough for us, including making teas & coffees at a modest price.
Provided one is prepared for the journey to and from Scotland (with regular comfort stops) and a possible early start, then this holiday is to be recommended.

Room Tip: A room at the front overlooks the loch.

It was our first experience with Lochs and Glens self drive holidays but it won't be our last! Whilst the hotel is a little way from either Callander or Aberfoyle its location is stunning. The rooms are clean and spacious, the food excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and the entertainment is good and varied. A great base for exploring the Trossachs especially if you like walking. I can and will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Free Wi-Fi was available in the reception, bar and function room areas of the hotel but not in-room.

We had a lovely time at this hotel the staff were very good, very friendly and helpful. The food, well what can I say such choices, also very good. We travelled with Lochs & Glens and had some amazing trips, all helped by the lovely weather we had whilst there. The scenery was stunning. Our driver Eddy was the best his friendly nature and good humour made some of the longer trips pass so quickly it was great. Will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Stunning views of the loch from the front of the hotel.
