In Aberfoyle today and popped in here for a baked tattie and panni...... well to be honest we sat outside in the sun. Lovely lunch £14 for the two of us. Very friendly staff quick service and very busy. Its attached to a fish and chip cafe. Which has no fatty smell coming out of it so it was lovely to sit in the sun! Next time we take a drive to Aberfoyle we would stop there again.

Popped in here for tea and coffee with cakes and was disappointed at the steep price and felt ripped off. Staff were friendly enough but for what we got it wasn't good value. We travel a lot and know that in key tourist places you can expect a price hike. Wouldn't like to think tourists are being exploited as its a bit of a closed market in the town as very little competition.

We lunched here in late June not long after the current management took over.

While the food was adequate, service was dire and we lost count of the other customers who gave up waiting and walked out. Matters aren't helped when customers aren't served in turn. The proprietress seemed more concerned with making personal calls on her mobile rather than sorting matters.

When the staff are incapable of working the till and the boss doesn't intervene, you know you are in trouble. Need to get their act together fast.

Hi, I would like for you to accept our apologies and your comments have been taken onboard, this is not something we want to happen, but im sure you will appreciate it does happen on occasion, would you please be kind enough to advise on which date you visited.
Because of recent new ownership, both owners and management unfortunately have a great deal of people and businesses to contact and vice versa via mobile, once again we apologise and we sincerely hope you will visit us again in the future

Kind Regards

visited this poor establishment on 11th August. We had to clear dishes away to get a table for 5.
waited over 25mins for our order of soup and sanwiches. the soup was so watered down and tasteless we could not finish. dirty dishes were left all over the place including the main counter where the staff were placing new orders alongside dirty dishes etc.noted that a dirty dish was even placed on top of a new order waiting to be served.(poor person who had to have that dish)
this was the first and last time we will visit this place. noted that other customers were complaining of the time taken to serve and several walked out after a lengthy wait

Hi, we apologise regarding your comments on the above date, unfortunately on this very busy day some of your comments are in fact valid points, this particular Sunday was a very busy day in our village and all establishments had faced the same hiccups, yes there was used plates etc on tables as it was so busy the waiting staff wasn't getting a chance to clear before the next customers came in, the soup had been watered down as it had been too thick, but yes you are correct the (chef at the time) had watered down a little too much and rectified it, but as for saying staff put dirty plates on top of fresh food is so wrong, why would anyone do such a thing, it just would not happen. The staff were informing customers of the wait and most were happy to,but for the customers who were on a bus tour, yes they had a problem waiting as only have 25 minutes, this unfortunately we have no control over, we never know when these buses arrive and when they do we take the appropriate action to call in more staff.
Again Sorry for any inconvenience and time waited.
