Our hosts Pauline and Steve gave us a warm welcome and tea in the conservatory when we arrived. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and there was plenty of space to put our belongings. There was a wide choice of food for breakfast. We particularly liked watching the tits, chaffinches and pheasants having their breakfast on the patio as we enjoyed ours. We had access to the sitting / dining room and conservatory to come and go as we pleased. This was particularly helpful when a storm came through one morning.
When the bad weather disrupted our travel plans and we wanted to stay for another two nights
there was only a vacant room for one night, so Steve arranged for us to spend a night at a friend's comfortable B&B nearby.
