We've been meaning to visit Staffa for years, but never got around to it. Overseas visitors wanted to go to Iona, we wanted to go to Fingal's cave, so we combined both - what an amazing day we had! We were so lucky a day with perfect weather. The days either side were miserable and it would have been a totally different experience, I suspect - possibly dangerous to be walking on the rocks on Staffa if it were wet? Perfect conditions allowed us to get incredible views and photos of incredible rock formations and scenery. We only saw one puffin and one seal, but the island was just beautiful! Iona Abbey was fascinating and well kept with knowledgable and helpful staff. Our visitors had toured Scotland but said that our trip to Mull, Iona and Staffa were the highlight of their trip. Scotland at its very best!
