Our two nights at the lovely Skerryvore could not have been better. The view was beautiful and the hospitality, outstanding. We were very comfortable, well cared for and entranced by the peace and loveliness of Iona and of our accommodations. This B & B offers everything a traveler could want. It is attractive, clean and comfortable, and we would love to return for a longer stay.

Cannot fault Skerryvore B&B on the Isle of Iona in any way! Comfortable, clean rooms with en-suite, excellent breakfast served in our very own kitchen/diner and the best view over the bay at the back of the ocean.
We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed chatting with our excellent host Lindsay.
I've noticed on here that some people complain that the B&B is a bit of a walk, this is ridiculous as you have only a mile to the village through the most beautiful scenery, if it's raining wear a jacket!!!
We will definitlely be back to stay at Skerryvore in the future and would recommend to everyone!

My husband and I missed the last ferry to Iona; I called Lindsay to explain. Within a moment, he arranged for two friends to come across the bay in their motor boat, complete with life preservers for us, to get us to Iona! Joyce met us at the dock with a warm, welcoming smile. After a fish dinner by the dock, we walked to Skerryvore. We found an instant connection to this beautiful place, comfortable, spotless, with a unique view to sheep, cows, and the ocean! Lindsay and Joyce are natural and engaging, as well as generous in anticipating our needs. They let us use their bicycles, and offered their golf clubs to us! We wished we had booked Skerryvore for 2 nights; we would have loved to stay longer.

Skerryvore is the finest B&B I've ever stayed in. It easily accommodated three of us with the addition of a camp bed to one room without its feeling crowded. All was immaculately clean, with nice bedding and bath towels. We didn't bring our own food to cook with, but I'd recommend doing so another time as the kitchen is certainly more than adequate for the preparation of simple meals. The highlight of the establishment is the large west facing window, with views over the machair to the beach and the ocean beyond. Since it is some distance from "town," the ambiance is very peaceful, while town is still easily accessible by using the bikes provided free of charge. I recommend this B&B to anyone and can't wait to return myself.

Room Tip: One room with twin beds and one with a double

This is a great place to stay with stunning views all the way to Canada. The sunsets and the stars were amazing, and it was really quiet and peaceful. The small kitchen was useful - there's not much choice in the Iona shops so we brought food back from Mull. It's about 20 minutes walk to the village by the footpath and a bit further to the Abbey but you can get a lift if needed, and Lindsay and Joyce are most helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable with modern facilities. The only thing I'd have preferred is a king-size bed as my husband tends to sleep in the middle!

From caring, friendly hospitality to delicious abundant food this is a great place to stay. New modern facilities looking out over the undulating hillocks of a golf course falling down to the oceans edge, it really is a delight for your eyes. The owners do their utmost to please and the level of cleanliness and overall excellence rivals any hotel.
Highly recommended.
