Stayed for three nights in August 2012. The room was clean and comfortable with first class service. Nothing was too much trouble for Tania. Topped off with a great breakfast each morning. Fairly central location with decent parking facilities to the rear.

Stayed for a few nights in May with my girlfriend. Tania was great, moving us into a better room due to a cancellation starting our stay on exactly the right note. The breakfast are a good size, fresh and not greasy. The House is beautiful - if a little eccentric in places - with nice gardens. Ample street parking nearby and everything in town is only a 5 min walk. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Will definitely be back if I am in Stornoway again.

The environment of this B&B is interesting. The propertty is dark, ivy clings to the walls at the front and when you press the doorbell, it seems to ring a long way away.
Once you get over that, it is a cosy place that ticks the boxes for comfort and helpfulness.
We stayed for only one night and had an early start to catch the morning ferry. We weren't able to try the full breakfast, but we were left cereal, croissants and yoghurt, so we could start our day off. This was very thoughtful.
We stayed in one of the rooms in the two room annex behind the main property. This was small but comfortable and has the advantage of not disturbing others if you come and go at uncenventional times.

I stayed here with a work colleague on business (10 days for me and a week for my colleague) and we were situated in the rooms within the cottage at the rear of the property and I must say we were well looked after by Tania on all fronts. The rooms were very cosy and the en suite bathroom was nice and modern and overall the B&B is clean tidy and nothing is too much trouble for Tania as I would arrive back late in the evening after work and head for the lounge to watch tv for an hour and Tania would appear with a pot of tea and some biscuits which was a very nice touch. The B&B is 100 yards from the seafront so is close to all the shops etc in the town and as a tip I would recommend the restaurant called Eleven which is straight across the road from the Guest House. I would not recommend either of the Indian Restaurants in town as the same person owns both and his prices are off the scale with an average meal with poppadoms as a starter costing around £20 per head. I would recommend this little B&B to anyone visiting Stornoway as it's very well situated and in comparison to others it's well priced and friendly and that made my stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: The two rooms in the cottage at the rear of the guest house are very cosy and have modern en suite b...

My colleague, having stayed here a few times reccomended it highly. I have lodged in many guest houses in the UK and Ireland, our hostess took our late arrival in her stride.
We were placed in the cottage rooms at the back, with access to a beatifully formed garden
We had access to the main house ,and all facilities, while Breakfast was a highlight of each day.
We were treated as honoured guests in this very much "at home victorian villa"
Good value and much to reccomend it.

Room Tip: The view is beatifull Back anf front rooms.

Greeted by Tanya, we were shown to our rooms.. Two of us placed in rooms in the cottage at the back. Very comfortable with en suite shower. Third member of the party in the main house. Nothing was too much trouble. Tanya cooked as much breakfast as you wanted in the morning. Good value, very clean and nice to be a Victorian house which was comfortable and not minimalist.
