Beautifully appointed new accommodation with lovely views across loch and hills. Marion, the owner was very helpful and welcoming and cooked a lovely evening meal as well as breakfast, catering for diverse dietary needs. I would definitely go back and recommend this B and B to others.

A new B and B run by Marion. Very clean, warm and quiet. 2 bedrooms with the kitchen between them so no noise from the other room. Lovely dining area with a good view.
Flybe had lost our bags so we arrived with very little and needed to make several phone calls with our mobile phone which was flat. Marion kindly let us have a charger for a few days even though we only stayed with her for one night!
We would definitely stay here again if we return to these islands.
Thank you again Marion.

Room Tip: Very quiet and well equiped.

This B&B is a gem! The location is central to the entire island of Lewis and it is convenient to Harris--central to both ferries to the mainland. Taigh Chailean is a house with the 2 rooms on either end. There is a fully equipped kitchen and lovely sitting room. Each bedroom is en suite with a large TV and wireless Internet service. Marion, our hostess, could not have done more for us. She is helpful, kind and generous!

Room Tip: There are 2 rooms, both would be good. We had the double; the other is a twin. There is a good hote...

A very warm and friendly welcome was just the beginning. Everything in this well equipped B&B was top class, Marion was most helpful, booked us a place for dinner and did a packed breakfast when we had a VERY early start to catch the ferry. As a wheelchair user, I was quite happy with the access overall; I had a few suggestions for minor improvements which were actively explored and accepted. It felt like staying with a good friend, not in a commercial premises. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Beautifully presented, comfortable and spacious accommodation in a converted barn which guests have to themselves. We arrived exhausted on bikes and Marion gave us a lift to (and picked us up later from) the nearest pub about 7 miles away. She gave us an option of a lift to a shop and using the big kitchen to cook. In the morning, the breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit salad included! And the price for all this was so reasonable.

we stayed here last week we booked two rooms .When we arrived the lady who owns it lives next door so we had the whole place to ourselves. there are only two bedrooms both are beautiful everything is of a very high standard but the best part was we had a lounge with a fantastic view across the valley and down to the loch were we sat and watched the sun go down . it didn't feel like a b&b as we had the whole bungalow to ourselves . If your looking for a great place to stay on lewis I would highly recommend this place its absolutely gorgeous .

Room Tip: both rooms are beautiful both have French doors looking out over the valley.huge beds had a great ni...
