“Facsinating walk”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

Just follow the signs and park near the small forest there.
Take a good pair of shoes and large bottle of water and start hike the mountain!
don't give up in the middle and reach the top of the base of the rock!
you'll enjoy a breath-taking view!!!

Perfect for proposal ;)

“Fabulous views”
Reviewed 18 March 2014

You park at the bottom of the hill and think you have a short walk up the hill. There's more of a walk than it seems if you want to take full advantage and get in the right place to position 'the old man' perfectly against the view. But it's a must, it takes about an hour. Keep climbing and you'll love the views.

“Fantastic, well worth a visit”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

The walk up isn't too difficult and the views are amazing! The path was fairly mucky at the start as there have been a lot of trees cut down near the bottom. Once you get past this, there are no more mucky spots. Make sure to wear good walking shoes because they will get ruined in the muck. It was very windy the day we visited (February) but it didn't matter at all. The path is good. The views are really beautiful, you can see for miles. This was my favourite thing to do on the Isle of Skye, definitely a must-do in my opinion! Gorgeous!

“Amazing views”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

We walked up Storr on a surprisingly mild February day and were not disappointed with the beautiful views from the top. I would recommend the walk for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. As others have mentioned the beginning part of the path goes through an area of deforestation, it is not pretty to look at or nice to walk on but don't let it put you off as it is relatively short and once you get to the kissing gate the path improves dramatically.

A few watch outs:

1) Take sensible footwear, the path is rocky and sensible shoes will help. Also your footwear is likely get dirty. as the bottom half of the path through the forestry works can be wet, muddy and slippery.

2) 3/4 of the way up the path splits left and right. The left option takes you up to the rock formation itself and right option takes you away from the formation to the ridge. You can walk a circular if you want and go up the left hand path and then down the right hand path. There is a nice viewpoint on a small outcrop to the right of the rock formations, which is easily walked up. Perfect for taking pictures or having some lunch if you are fortunate for some nice weather.
