Even our grandson enjoyed the gardens as they are not all manicured but have lovely paths to wander down. We were there in the spring and the colours were beautiful.

“NTS veggies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2013

There is a fee to pay here but often just an honesty box for it. Staff are about but often tending the gardens.

The gardens are wonderful to walk around on a nice day - look for the fish in the stream, the new gazebo made by a master blacksmith and the amazing array of plants along the gorge walk. The entire property is compact but a place you can get lost in. The biggest pity is how there is little story about the house and history. The house itself is closed to the public and it seems all attention is into the garden.

Now the most wonderful part is the garden is functioning and selling produce! Visit in the summer and buy berries, the autumn and leave with pumpkin and corn. Flowers in the spring and all sorts of amazing items - very cheap and excellent quality - who needs a tesco or morrisons when you can buy it here!

“Lovely flower and vegetable garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2013

Came across this garden on way home from Helensburgh! A beautiful place to visit a few miles from the town. There is a woodland walk along a small stream and the garden was in full bloom, so peaceful and quiet! The fruit and vegetables which are grown in the garden are on sale in the small shop, and, if no-one there to take money for them, there is an honesty box for such. Well worth a visit!

“Colours Galore”

This is a real gem if you have the time to visit the area, peace & calm reign supreme as you are away from the traffic running through the village. I visited just as the flowers were starting to bloom so the changes from a dull wet spring to a vibrant start to the summer lifted the spirits.
