We found Lumsdaine House on the Internet. Booking was easy, Margaret's answer was immediate and the directions on how to find the farm are precise.
We started our tour around Scotland with a stay at this first-rate place and from then on were looking forward to going back and spending another night there. Though we arrived rather late, Margaret welcomed us with homemade biscuits and a cup of tea. We were given cosy, tastefully furnished, spotless rooms and in the morning a delicious, wholesome breakfast. You will just love the yoghurt with creme fraiche. Margaret is a very kind, cheerful and helpful hostess. For us it was the best place to stay.

The photo does not do this purpose - built B and B justice. Set in farmland just a little way out of town, the place is lovely. Huge rooms with luxury appointments. Friendly and helpful hostess and great breakfast which will double as lunch. Directed here by the tourist office and very glad as I would not have found it on my own. Accomodatimodating about short notice arrival: nothing too much trouble. Near some good eating places too but will need a car.

We stayed with Margaret for one night when we arrived in Canada. We had arrived early because of our flight from Canada, and she was ready for us. Great room and she welcomed us with a lovely cup of tea and cookies. Breakfast was excellent and the homemade scones just made my morning. A great place to stay.

We stayed at Lumsdaine House 3 nights the last week in April and found it to be the best one out of all the others we stayed at on our 2 week vacation. The rooms are spotless and spacious. Margaret is a wonderful hostess. She goes the extra mile for her guests. Tea and scones are excellent, as well as a hearty and healthy breakfast! The yogurt and creme fraiche is the best! She gave us good tips on places to see and even made reservations for us at the local restaurants. We look forward to returning to Lumsdaine house and Scotland in the near future.
