After visiting the castle we were ready for a pub lunch and went to The Four Marys based on TA reviews. We ate in the bar area although they do have more dining seating in the back. The selections were more expansive than we expected of a pub. In addition to the regular menu, there were daily specials and lunch specials. We decided to try the lunch specials - 2 for 10 pounds! My husband had the battered haddock, shrimp and chips served with a salad and I had the lamb stew served with carrots and green beans. We shared an excellent starter of chunks of delicious breads to dip in olive oil and thick balsamic vinegar - 4 pounds. The only negative was I found the stew gravy too salty. Otherwise everything was excellent.
