We stayed one night in a family style room (my spouse, 16 year old daughter and 17 year old girl friend) and it was a very nice room at a reasonable price. The location is a good quite one and the room was clean and comfortable. We were only using the location for a single night and left before the breakfast that was included; however, it was a nice comfortable hotel experience. Few furnishing were found in our room but that was just fine and worked well. Television is very small and wifi was not reliable in our 3rd floor room that was probably as far from the modem as any room gets...had to sit about 10 feet away in the hall to get consistent wifi but that gave everyone a bit of 'alone time':) A minor complaint...overall a very nice place and we would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: If wifi access is important to you, I would contact the management to assure that your room has reli...

We chose this place because we saw the ratings on tripadvisor. The road couldn't be found by our navigation system, but we asked for the way and the locals proved to be very helpful in finding the guesthouse. Upon arrival, we noticed the big car park directly in front of the house. The landlady was very helpful and friendly, she gave us directions to the next supermarket and recommended a restaurant in town.

The room was okay, nothing special, but not bad either. There were a few spiderwebs near the window. The window was situated towards the main road, which proved to be quite noisy during the night. We couldn't sleep very well.
All in all it wasn't up to standard for an Irish B & B or guesthouse of this price range, but we might be spoilt by the many lovely B & B we stayed at.

Came across this property by chance but how lucky can you be. Just a 1km easy walk to the city centre. Enjoyed the experience so much we stayed another day. A very good example of not judging a book by its cover. Pretty unpretentious looking but the hospitality is wonderful. Property is a little dated and some features are not up to 5 star standard but you do not pay for 5 star. Found our accommodation to be very comfortable, roomy with ensuite and wifi included. All things that needed to work did. Breakfast room and menu makes for a great start to the day. Agree with other correspondents that the operators go to a great deal of trouble to help make sure that your time in the area Is more than enjoyable. Local knowledge of history and folklore is fantastic as is knowledge of local dining establishments. Would have no difficulty in using this as a base for a extended stay in the County

Very VERY friendly staff. Chatted quite a bit about places to go to, stuff to do. Very helpful, they were. Both room and breakfast were excellent. Close proximity to the Burren, Cliffs of Moher. Really enjoyed our stay.

Myself and my son recently stayed at Westbrook House on the first and last nights of a 5 day cycling trip, that I had booked with Cycling Safaris. Sheelagh and Domnhall were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Sheelagh and Domnhall were always very helpful when we asked for information on local restaurants and activities etc. The rooms were clean and tidy and the full Irish breakfast in the morning (cooked to order) was just what we needed before a days cycling. Westbrook house has nice location and it only takes 15 -20 minutes to walk in to Ennis centre. I would definitely recommend this Guesthouse.

We booked this property on the morning of our arrival via the Internet. Although some have indicated that the property is difficult to locate we found the locals very accommodating to help us locate this property. When we arrive Domhnall greeted us at the door with a welcoming smile which made us feel like family. He provided us with a few restaurant options within the town and gave us details about the town which were very useful. When we were leaving the next morning on our way to Cliffs of Mohar he provided us with a map and perfect directions on how to get there. He also gave us a suggestion on a place to stop for lunch "Monks" which had the best mussels and Warm Black Pudding Salad,
Thanks Domhnall & Sheelagh for a warm comfortable stay and we hope you enjoy your

To maximize our Ireland vacation my family and I spent our nights at different hotels in the different places we visited. When we arrived in Ennis and checked in at Westbrook House, we were greeted by Domhnall Lynch, proprietor. He was very gracious and made us feel welcome in the guesthouse. During check in, we mentioned that we would be celebrating my daughter's 14th birthday during our stay and he mentioned that it was marvelous and began mentioning places we should take her to visit and such. He then showed us to our room. The room was very clean and and very well tended. The morning meals were cooked to our liking and very delicious. On the day of our daughter's birthday we went to breakfast and were very surprised when Domhall and his wife Sheelagh presented my daughter with a wonderfully delicious birthday cake and sang her happy birthday. We couldn't have been more happy and my daughter was ecstatic and exclaimed how this was her best birthday yet. Our visit was magnificent and we owe it all to Domhnall and Sheelagh. Their marvelous hospitality and friendship is unlike anything else we have ever experienced. We look forward to staying with them on our subsequent visits to Ireland and want to thank them again for a marvelous experience.

Room Tip: Any room is a good room.
