“Very Nice Stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014

After having a terrible experience at the Rowan Tree Hostel on Tues night, April 15th we checked into the Queens Hotel across the street for our 2 remaining days in Ennis. The rate was exactly the same as the hostel but the accommodations were 10 times better. We had a room which over looked Abbey street. The room was very clean. Beautiful bathroom with a shower curtain, unlike the hostel where there wasn't one. Shampoo, soap, conditioner, towels, just like a "real" hotel. There was a hot pot for making tea and coffee in the room. The bed was super comfortable. We actually had a place to hang up our clothes. The staff was very friendly.

The room rate included full Irish breakfast which was probably the best breakfast we had during our 12 days in Ireland. All together we had a wonderful stay at the Queens Hotel and we will stay there again.

Sincerely,
Greg Miller
Millersville, Pennsylvania

Room Tip: We liked the room over looking Abbey street. Great view.

We loved our room and the proximity to town and all the pubs and restaurants... we were warned by the front desk, twice, about the nightclub on Friday night. We thought - how loud can it be? .... Then we realized our disco days are about 30 years in the grave....

Aside from the loud evening, this was a really great hotel in a lovely location with a convenient parking lot across the street.

I had the pleasure of organising my sisters hen party for 32 ppl,we stayed in this hotel last weekend the 5th of April. I made the booking a few months ago an nothing was ever any trouble, they were so accommodating!I mainly dealt with clodagh who was so friendly an would e mail me any info I needed, even as much as our menu! When we arrived all our rooms were ready and exactly how I had booked them,a mix of triples an twins. They were clean and modern. The staff couldn't do enough for us,an the location is so central we were near everything! We booked a package with dinner and a cocktail class it was an extremely good price an we got a VIP room in the nightclub which was fantastic.I am still thinking of the food as it was fab an we asked for extra chips for the tables an it was no problem at al!Even though the nightclub is attached to the hotel it is very safe as you couldn't enter the hotel if your name wasn't on the room list,it was so handy to walk up to bed after a long night of dancing an not having the hassle of a taxi.I honestly could not recommend this hotel highly enough for a hen party or any weekend stay!It made our weekend perfect!

we stayed here last weekend in a group of 9 for hen night. The package we got was great value and included b&b, 3 course dinner, cocktail making class(big thanks to Jack for putting up with us,very nice lad) and free entry into nightclub. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The rooms were basic but very comfy. Shower wasn't great. Queens night club was brilliant especially the 80/90's section. Definitely would reccommend this hotel and would stay here again.

I had a voucher for here so went along with 3 girlfriends.
The bedrooms were fine and clean and beds comfortable.
The bathrooms were dirty though..Stains around the sink, dirty tiles, questionable shower.
Our rooms overlooked the nightclub smoking area but this did not bother us as we went to the nightclub - which was very nice and we had free entry as we were staying in the hotel.
They also have a nice bar with OK bar food. We chose not to have breakfast there.
The lady at reception and all staff we encountered were very friendly and nice.

My family and I stayed here for a night while travelling between Dingle and Galway, and we enjoyed our time there.

The woman who checked us in was extremely friendly, which set the stay off on a great mood. The lobby is nice and comfortable. (I really loved their wallpaper which has glitter in it!)
The room was a very average, but for a budget hotel, was exactly what I expected. It was comfortable and simple. Everything including the bathroom was clean.
We did have a gorgeous view out the window to the Abbey next door.

We had drinks in the bar in the evening and breakfast there the next morning, and everything was nice and staff very friendly.

I will note that the WiFi didn't "reach" to our room, so we had to go sit in the lobby to use it. So don't depend too much on in-room WiFi.

I'd say if you are looking for a very reasonably priced hotel in the center of Ennis, give it a try. We had a comfortable and pleasant stay.
