We stayed at the Old Ground Co. Clare. The hotel is very clean and accomodating. We had wonderful service. The restaurant associated with the hotel is top notch- excellent food. We would not have changed one thing and will absolutely stay there again.

Had to write a comment. Stayed here for work last month and was really impressed with the quality of the beds. They are probabley the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Thought they were five star quality. Food in the their bistro was amazing and really reasonable. Will be back

A wonderful traditional hotel with a real buzz. Service is great and there is a lovely atmosphere. The dining room offers traditional meals (large portions!), the Town Hall Cafe modern European and the Poet's Corner bar great pub food and music at weekends. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was well worth the extra cost - one minor issue was the lack of towel rails in the bathroom. Odd when everything else about the accommodation was so good.

Stayed two nights, would have loved to stay longer.
Excellent hotel. We took an upgrade which was very good size and beautiful decor.
Loved reading my book and relaxing on the sofas in front of the real fire in the lobby.
Excellent staff throughout the hotel. Breakfast very good. We also eat in the bar 'The Poets Corner' in the hotel, very good also. Great location.
Would love a return visit.

We got a voucher for the Old Ground and their sister hotel ion Kilkenny as a christmas present and had a great weekend here. The great thing is that you can park your car and not go back to it for the weekend if thats what you want. This is what the great old hotels of Ireland are all about. No new attitide but great irish hospitality in comfy surroundings. The food in the Town Hall restaurant was the best we have had in many years and we could not get over the value. Even though we are from Galway I would gladly make the cart journey just to eat here.
