We were staying in Ennis overnight and went out at about 8.15pm to get a quick meal. Going through the town centre we found The Silver House Chinese restaurant in Upper O'Connell Street. It has a good takeaway trade, but we were the only diners in. We opted for two courses for 15euro. First we had a drink each - Chinese beer and a red wine, which was a generous size. Complimentary prawn crackers were served. We were then served quite large starters of a spring roll and prawn toast, with various accompaniments. For mains we both chose chicken dishes with boiled rice. I had mine with pineapple and ginger, my wife had hers with orange. Both were large portions, and very tasty. Service was very courteous. I would recommend The Silver House.
