“Nice hotel, staff not overly helpful”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Hotel was nice but staff ignored our request to turn off the radiator, said there was no other DVD player to replace our broken one, food wasn't great, hotel room was spotlessly clean, the computer in the lobby took our €2 and then didn't load any websites, wifi wasn't in our room at all and wasn't great in the main areas, we put out a breakfast in bed menu on the door at 11pm as it says to be there before 5am and they never collected it or brought us breakfast. Wouldn't reccomend it unfortunately

The property is cute, but not clean, not air conditioned, not staffed with overly friendly help. Additionally, the furnishings and carpet a a bit different - should in say older - than those displayed in their pictures.

Based on condition, lack of contemporary amenities (like air conditioning and wifi) and location well outside city center, I say don't do it!

My husband and I stayed here one night whilst on our honeymoon, only really as a stopover on the way to Galway, so we didn't make use of the spa or gym facilities. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, offering directions into Ennis town and arranging for some of our clothes to be washed overnight.

Our room was ok, but like I said we were only there as a stopover. The communal rooms looked quite nice.

I stayed one night as part of touring coach part. Therefore I don't know how much it was to stay. I'm hoping not too much !. Mine room was on the ground floor, thought it was numbered 308 I think. Other tour members mentioned no hot water for a shower in the morning. Mine was ok, but that was the previous evening, through it was a poor shower with more water pouring down vertically than actually reaching me ! The basin had an annoying dripping tap, though careful towel placement stopped that. On arrival it was around 1900 and not a hot day, but warmish. The room was too hot so I went to open the window, and found it part open but the radiator was FULL ON !. Its May, ie summer not mid winter !. The window overlooked the rear empty carpark, so no noise problem here. This was a twin room, I would prefer a double but being on my own it didn't really matter. Not one of the best beds, it could do with a new mattress as it was very soft with squeaky springs. The TV was small with very basic remote, but good enough for the few hours I was there. It was fairly quiet so not a bad sleep. The walk to reception is some way, with steps at the end, not much help if you have lots of bags.
