Brilliant reception staff and lovely leisure centre but the hotel is in dire need of an update. Has tonnes of potential but small rooms, tired decor, dated bathroom, tiny tv.

Stayed here midweek for 3 nights. The hotel is a bit dated, but the rooms were really clean. The staff were exceptionally nice at all times, nothing was a problem. Very good value in the cafe, €5 for a carvery! Good bar food too. About 10 mins walk into the town. The Cliffs of Moher were approx 35 mins drive away, Bunratty was about 15 mins drive. If you are looking for plush this is not the hotel for you, but we found it clean, good location, and pleasant staff. Swimming pool was a bonus.

I have just came back from a few days break in the lovely Ennis, the hotel was great in a good location only about 10 minutes walk from town, theres loads to do & see in the county, theres a good supply of leaflets in reception and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely - we had towels changed every day & full use of the leisure facilities, theres carvery lunch for 5 euro served daily during March and bar food which we ha one evening was lovely. Breakfast was also delicious and served to 10.30 which is brill for those of us who need a lie in! I would deffo recommend this hotel & hope to visit again soon!

Room Tip: We chose a double room which had a double & single bed also

Pool area was really great, nice and warm! Breakfast each morning was very nice, food in restaurant and bar really good too, this hotel is very kid friend with there kids club and teen room and kitchen with microwave fridge etc for family use! Kids movie every evening streamed through tv at 9 great idea only prob it only worked for one of the 3 nights we were there! Place could do with a revamp but overall great experience all staff we encountered were very helpful and kind! Would go back!

The hotel was built in 1968...and not much has changed since then.upon entering the hotel the reception was nice and we were greeted by a pleasant lady at reception.then on the way to our room 239 the decor is very shoddy and run down.narrow corridor, stained stale carpet, then the room was tiny and the curtains were stained as we're the bedclothes, which never got changed as the same stain was there the next day we had to phone reception to get them changed.the worst let down of all thou was the food.my girlfriend and I ordered bar food on our first night and it was very poor.chicken curry with no veg,was a brown colour with a chopped up breaded chicken breast.the waitress never even asked what was wrong when it was left with only a couple of mouthfuls gone.i got the burger which was not great as the bun was soggy because it wasn't toasted.breakfast baffled me as when I went up to the hot buffet I saw bacon, tomato, pudding, egg, and....ROAST POATOES!??? If u have no hash browns left fine but who wants roast potatoes at 9am...very dated and sad and the worst thing was we still had another 2 nights left to stay.wouldnt recommend it....go camping instead!!!

Where do I start? We arrived last night in this "hotel" at around 7pm. Check in was fine and the girl at reception was lovely. The whole hotel was dated. It was built in 1968, and much has changed since then! She directed us to the lifts. We got into the lift and thought we would never get out! The lift decided to go to the 3rd floor before dropping wit a thud to the 2nd where our room was. Walking to our room was like walking through the corridors in the shining! When I opened the door to the room I was overcome with disappointment. The room overlooked a play area for kids. The net curtain had stains on it. The room needed more than a lick of paint. The bed was not comfortable at all, the pillows were like bricks and there was a stain on the bedclothes when we removed the runner. The tv is about as old as the hotel and the reception was very fuzzy. The bathroom was tiny and dated. There were hairs on the floor and the bath. Thoughout the night we could hear tvs, doors slamming and kids running about. We also had bar food. I ordered the chicken curry, had one fork full and couldn't force myself to have anymore. It was vile! I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone. Overall, avoid avoid avoid! Worse part is we have to stay tonight and tomorrow too but I think we could check out early!

10 of us spent the weekend here. We got a great deal - 2 nights B&B + 1 evening meal for €109 pps. Overall, we felt we got good value for our money - a warm welcome from friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and a good breakfast to start our day. As in other reviews, I'd agree that parts of the hotel need a good sprucing up. And the evening meal included in the deal was very poor. Service was extremely slow and a lot of our party weren't happy with their meals. Desserts in particular were very sub standard. But overall, for what we paid for the weekend, we were happy enough.
