We stayed here at the end of June last summer as part of a short break to West Cork and Cape Clear. The inter connecting family room was just perfect as our boys are still quite young. They loved the idea of their own room with a dressing area separating it from the main room. The decor was country chic and really in keeping with the house. Carol was heading away early the next morning and Jim was "in charge" for breakfast. Breakfast was fabulous - scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and lovely homemade brown bread and the pancakes & maple syrup went down a treat with small boys. Jim was a wonderful host and very engaging - so much so that we missed the early ferry to Cape Clear with all the chat. Lis Ardagh is set on a height over Union Hall and has the most magnificent gardens. They are worth a visit in themselves. Overall a wonderful experience and a must for our next visit to West Cork.
